Blaze opened his eyes as the sun beamed into the room. Outside, the city looked to be having a clear, sunny winter day. It was almost as beautiful as last night. Blaze recollected the memories of warmth and pure love. He remembered how beautiful Garroth was last night. How he couldn't think of anything else but him. The redhead, still groggy, sluggishly reached over to wrap his arm around the blonde which he assumed was next to him. Except, it just hit the empty sheets next to him. Seeing that Garroth wasn't there any more, he bolted straight up, all his energy returning to his body.
"Garroth?", He called out, his heart racing slightly. "Garroth? Are you in the bathroom?"
Blaze got out of bed and inspected his on-suite bathroom to see that it was empty as well. Even alarmed than before, he quickly threw on some sweats, grabbing shoes in case he needed to start searching outside. He didn't even bother grabbing a shirt before he rushed out of his room and quickly down the stairs, calling out; "Garroth!", repeatedly.
Once he entered the main living area though, he froze seeing Garroth startled in the kitchen. He had a spatula in hand and something was sizzling on the stove."B-Blaze? Is everything alright?", He asked, his eyes wide. He looked nervous as if he did something wrong...
"Sorry...Uh, I just got worried where you were,", He explained, feeling bad that he scared him.
"No worries,", Garroth smiled. "I'm just making breakfast but, I could see how that can pose as a threat."
Blaze chuckled and put his stuff down my the stairs before walking over to the blonde. To his surprise, he found Garroth making pancakes. He swore that he didn't have the ingredients to make them in the first place.
"By the way, Laurance sent you groceries and left you a note. It's on the counter,", Garroth smirked, turning back to the meal.
Blaze curiously walked over to the island and read the note to himself.
Knowing you, you haven't been grocery shopping in weeks. Aphmau was concerned last night the you two had nothing to eat. You're welcome. Also, I hope you two are having a good time!
-Laurance
The redhead mentally thanked his friends and noted to text them later. Then, he fully turned his attention back to the fact that Garroth was making breakfast.
"This is really nice of you P but, you really didn't-"
"I wanted to. After what you did for me yesterday, this is the least I could do,", The blonde insisted, plating the first few, handing them to him. "Also, if it makes you feel better I'm not the best cook so, it might not be that amazing."
Blaze laughed again and took the plate from his hands.
"You're the best, you know that?"
Garroth, looking up at Blaze, saw a flash of the guard from his vision last night. He had an evil grin on his face as he said in a mocking tone;
"You're so weak, you know that?"
An aching feeling came to his head and he slightly clutched it, enough to cause Blaze concern.
"Are you alright? Should I get you something?", He asked, setting the plate down and checking his temperature with the back of his hand.
Garroth shook his head; "No...I'm fine. Just a small pain is all. You should eat. I'm going to finish making these."
Garroth went back to the stove, trying to calm down a bit. He was having those flashes for the past couple of hours. Not all of them were bad, for example the last one. But, there were a few that caused him to take breather for a few minutes. He knew Shadow was doing this to get on his nerves so, he was trying his best to remind himself that he was fine.
Blaze was picking up on his mood though. He didn't fully understand what was going on but, he needed to be there for him. When Garroth started flipping the batter on the pan again, Blaze wrapped his arms around his waist, resting his chin on the shorter male's shoulder. Garroth tensed at first, not expecting the sudden affection but, he didn't push him off and soon relaxed.
