Toph fell back, landing against a tree with a loud thud. My eyes widened and I rushed over to her. She coughed, and I could see the faintest hint of red on her lips. I pressed a hang against her chest, where she got hit. A warm liquid seeped through.
"No, no, no, this can't be happening." I looked around, seeing Katara all the way on the other side of the field, dealing with her own battle. I pressed down on the wound, attempting to stop the flow of blood. "Come on Toph, say something."
She coughed again, spitting blood out. "Hey, you don't gotta worry, I'm Toph Beifong. I'm the greatest Earthbender ever, I'll be fine." It didn't take bending to know she was lying.
Toph fell limp. My eyes widened and I grabbed her arm, shaking her. "Toph, no, no, wake up!" Tears poured out of my eyes. "Wake up!" I sobbed.
She didn't move.
I stood up, lashing back at the enemy, knocking them back. I cried out, hitting them with attack after attack. My fire burned bright blue, with all it's raging intensity.
Toph. My love. I'll get your revenge.
