When I got back home from my first day of work I was exhausted. I just let myself fall on my bed as if I was a bag of potatoes. My eyes began to feel heavy and the tiredness of working 8 hours was starting to have effect in my body.

A knock on the door made me open my eyes. "Come in." I said.

"Hunny?" I heard my mum's voice as the door slowly opened. She poked her head and gave me a smile. "I knew you would be tired when you got here so..." My mum said in a happy tone while moving her eyebrows. "TADA! I made you your favourite Chilean food!"

I immediately sat on bed and smiled. "PASTEL DE CHOCLO O DE PAPAS?"

"The first one." She sang cheerfully. She walked over to me with the tray in her hands and then handed it to me. I smiled and thanked her. "How was your first day at your new job?" My mum asked me as she sat on the bed with me.

"Exhausting but fun." I said before putting a full spoon of my delicious food in my mouth. Oh my God I haven't eaten this in soooo long and it tastes like heaven.

"You seem happy about it and that makes me feel calm." She smiled widely. "Since you got back from Uni I've been worried about you." Oh no, I knew this would come. "I know something happened while you were there."

"What? You're a psychic now?" I joked, trying to lighten the gloomy mood that had seized the conversation.

"No. I'm a mother, I know things." I continued eating and pretending I was too focused on my food to have an open heart talk. "Raiza, deja de hacerte la loca y contéstame." Oh, Spanish. She was getting mad.

"I was just stressed, mum." I said. "It was my first year in Uni, it's normal."

"Don't give me that 'I was just stressed' shit Raiza." She said angry. "Don't lie to my face. I thought you trusted me."

"I do. Don't get mad at me and you don't have to yell, I'm right here."

"Then tell me what's going on with you. You don't know how worried I am."

I could feel the tears about to come out. I took a deep breath. "I can't mum. I'm really sorry but I can't." I couldn't look her in the eyes. I knew she was hurt. "It's not that I don't trust you. You know I do. But I'm doing this for your own sake." I laid down and pulled the cover over me. "Thanks for the food. It was delicious."

Soon her weight on my bed disappeared and right after the sound of the door slamming was heard. I had hurt my mum's feeling because I'm not able to tell her what's wrong with me; all because of him. The tears began coming out nonstop.

"Why did you do this to me Harry?" I said between sobbings. I rolled myself up in a ball in a fail attempt to comfort myself.

Hours may have passed until I fell asleep. I thought I didn't have any more tears to shear but I was wrong, as always.

...

A ray of sunshine made me open my eyes. I looked at the clock; 30 minutes before it went off. I still had time to sleep but my head started working and thoughts about last night filled it and it was too late. I got up and opened the curtains; it was a beautiful sunny day as usual.

After watching through the window for a few minutes I started to get ready and once I was I went downstairs.

I was expecting to see my mum in the kitchen having breakfast but instead of her there was a note and beneath it a plate.

'I went out. Have a good day at work.

Mum'
