"Where do you get off paying my rent?" Quinn asked when Noah answered the phone.

"Who is this?" Noah asked.

"Not funny." Quinn said. "I am not in the mood."

"Okay, sorry." Noah apologized. "Just calm down and talk to me."

"Why did you pay my rent?" Quinn wondered.

"Finn told you?" Noah guessed.

"Did you think that was never gonna come up? That I'd never know?" Quinn questioned Noah.

"I'm just trying to help." Noah said.

"I told you before, I don't need your help." Quinn reminded Noah. "You and I are practically strangers. We're barely even friends."

"That's not true." Noah disagreed. "I care about you. You call me and I come running. Hell, I met your mom. I think that makes me more than a stranger, Quinn."

Quinn didn't say anything.

"I know I crossed a line and I should've talked to you about it." Noah began.

"Yeah, you should've. I can pay my own rent." Quinn stated.

"I know you can, and I'm sorry. It's not about that." Noah insisted. "It's about me wanting to do something for once and I know that's selfish, but I haven't been to a single doctor's appointment with you and I'm not around enough and... I don't want it to be like that."

"Neither do I." Quinn sighed. "I want us to be friends and I want you to come to appointments and I want our baby to grow up with normal parents."

"So do I." Noah said.

"I don't want you paying my rent and I don't want you barely speaking to me." Quinn clarified. "I know you don't think so, but I need you."

"You need me?" Noah asked.

"Yes." Quinn said. "I can't do this on my own. At first I thought I could, but I can't. I can't cook and I can't wake up before noon half the time and-"

"You can do anything, Quinn." Noah cut Quinn off.

Quinn didn't say anything.

"I'm finishing up here and I'm in the process of packing my stuff up and then I'll be in New York in a week or two." Noah promised. "And then I'm not going anywhere unless you and the baby are there."

"Okay." Quinn said softly. "I'll see you soon then."

"See you soon."
