Rhiannon was dancing around the small coffee shop picking up used plates and mugs. It was late, almost midnight and she was closing Jitters for the night. Her boot clad feet moved to the soft hum of Demi Lovato's voice perfectly. She could get lost in the sweet sound of her vocals at any moment. She closed her eyes swaying to the song. "Before I fall too fast, kiss me quick and make it last," Rhiannon hummed to the music she was listening to loudly through the coffee shop's stereo. Her feet danced across the floor while putting the dishes in the dishwasher in the back room.

The song soon changed to something more upbeat. She didn't even notice the small bell on the door rang until she heard the faint sound of clapping behind her. She was startled to say the least if the gasp that left her mouth and the hand over heart were any indication. Her head whipped around to see where the unexpected clapping was coming from. Her cheeks turned an obnoxious shade of red when she realized it was the blue eyed man from her ride a few days ago. "That was a great performance wildflower. I never would have guessed you for a Fleetwood Mac fan," Luke said through a laugh.

Rhiannon wanted to hide behind the counter in embarrassment. She wasn't shy in the least, but something about Luke made her so flustered. "What, a girl can't be a fan of Fleetwood Mac? I think I fit the profile perfectly. I'm you're all in one barista uber driver free spirit. That's about as Fleetwood Mac as it gets," Rhiannon sassily replied. She couldn't help but notice the smirk etched on his lips. Why was he always doing that? He must know he looks good. Rhiannon took a moment to graze her eyes from Luke's feet up to his blue eyes. He was wearing black boots with some of the skinniest jeans she's ever seen. The black jeans accentuated his thighs in the best way. She could see his chest hair peeking out from the white button up that was honestly unbuttoned a little too much for a Tuesday evening. Over his broad shoulders was a light wash jean jacket.

She hadn't noticed how long she had been staring at Luke until she could feel his breath on the top of her head. Rhiannon glanced up, her green eyes meeting Luke's icy blue ones.
"What's a pretty girl like you doing closing up a shop by yourself this late at night," Luke spoke barely over a whisper keeping his eyes focused on Rhiannon's. Rhiannon couldn't help but scoff, "I may be a girl, but I can handle myself. I don't need anyone to protect me". "I didn't say you needed anyone to protect you. By the looks of it, you've got it handled. You're just so small. I mean, are you even 5 ft tall?" Rhiannon got closer to Luke while crossing her arms.

With the most intimidating look she could muster, she glared up at Luke, "I think it's time for you to go. I have to close the shop and you're getting on my nerves. Please leave and take your fancy boots with you." Luke couldn't deny how cute the look on her face was. Her nose was scrunched up like a bunny and her cheeks were puffed out like a toddler about to have a tantrum.

Luke's laugh bubbled up from his chest, his dimples now on display, "I can tell when I'm not wanted, but just know wildflower, I know you're more than capable of taking care of yourself." Before Rhiannon could say anything, Luke had turned on his heel and walked out the door of the small shop. He had turned around ever so slightly to see the small girl's reaction. The dumbfounded look on her face gave Luke enough satisfaction as he walked down the city streets to his apartment a small smile playing on his lips when his mind drifted to the mysterious free spirit he'd become fond of.
