I wake up, but Toms not at my side. It's a bit early still, maybe he's downstairs having tea or something. I stretch out my sore limbs, and get out of bed slowly. The way my muscles feel right now is definitely a good reminder of last night.
I walk down to the kitchen, but Toms nowhere in sight. Maybe he's in his home office? He is a workaholic after all. I walk into his office, and it looks like he was in here but now he's not. I sit down in the spiny chair, waiting for him. His laptop is open, and on. I roll the chair closer to the desk, and see a video is pulled up. Looking closer, I see someone I didn't expect to see..
"Oh my god.." I say to myself.
I click play, and when I hear his voice, I become certain of who it is.
I can't fucking believe this.
I stand from my seat angrily, walking through the double doors and down the hallway to his office. I'm so pissed off I can't even be bothered by the fact that I'm still in my pajamas.
He stands in the hallway, and I walk straight up to him, which takes him by surprise.
"Good morning darling." He smiles.
"What the fuck is wrong with you Tom!" I exclaim. "Why did you bring my fucking dad here and keep it from me!"
His eyes go wide, and he shakes his head at me.
"You weren't suppose to find out-"
"So now you're keeping secrets from me?! Fuck you! What is going on Tom? Does he know I'm here?" I ask.
"Chloe calm down.." he starts.
"Don't tell me to calm down." I warn in a low tone.
"He has no clue where you are. He has no idea who I am. I asked him a few questions about Terry so i could sort out this mess. I swear I only did it to protect you." He explains.
I take a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. I see why he did what he did, I'm just so angry at him for keeping it from me.
"I never want him around. Ever again." I say plainly.
"Then he will never be here. Ever again." He nods.
"I'm sorry for yelling at you.." I sigh.
"it's okay.. I shouldn't keep secrets like that from you." He says softly. "You deserve to yell at me."
"No. I shouldn't yell, that's unacceptable. Maybe I could make it up to you though.. like I did last night, only this time my tongue-"
"Chloe, sweetheart, look around." He says.
I look to my right, seeing an open door that leads to a room full of men waiting for a meeting or something. My cheeks go bright pink, and embarrassment sets in as I look back to Tom.
"I'm just gonna.. head back." I mutter.
"Yeah, I'll see you later." He says with a small giggle, kissing my cheek before heading into his meeting.

"It was so embarrassing, I started screaming at him in front of everyone." I groan to Haz as he sits at the bar, drinking a beer.
"They're literally trained to keep their mouths shut, so what's the big deal?" He asks.
"They may not have said anything but I could see the judgement in their eyes." I mutter and he laughs.
"Chloe, let me tell you something about mafia men." He starts. "They literally couldn't care less about your fight with Tom."
I guess he's right, but it was still embarrassing.
I drink my tequila, and Haz scrunches his nose up in disgust. He thinks he's some Angel because he doesn't like tequila, although I still convince him to drink it sometimes.
"Don't give me that face just because you're too pussy to drink tequila." I say.
"Harrison, why would you turn down drinking with a pretty girl?"
I look to my left, seeing a tall, blonde boy standing there with a smile on his face. Haz rolls his eyes which makes me wonder who this guy is. I haven't seen him around here before.
"I should introduce myself, I'm Kyan."
"Okay and?" I say, making Haz choke down a laugh.
"Ah feisty, I'd expect nothing less from a girl that looks like you." He comments and I feel an extreme urge to punch him.
"A girl that looks like me.. hmm. What's that suppose to mean?" I ask.
"It means that you're beautiful." He smirks.
Jesus Christ this man has some confidence that he probably shouldn't have.
"I'm sure my boyfriend thinks that too." I say plainly.
"Ah." He nods. "Let me guess, Ben? You seem like Bens type."
Haz gets an amused smile, which I'm very confused by until I feel a hand rest on my lower waist. Ah this should be interesting.
"I'd say shes my type." Tom chimes in.
"Really? Tom?" Kyan jokes.
My god I want to beat the shit out of this guy.
"Yeah, he's got a big heart, and an even bigger di-"
"Alright darling." Tom interrupts me. "Why don't we go on a drive yeah? Get out of the house?"
"Yeah alright." I mutter.
I hop off the bar stool, feeling a little off balance from the alcohol I've consumed. Tom grabs my hand to steady me, interlacing our fingers.
"It was great to meet you.. I didn't get your name." Kyan states.
"Cause I didn't give it. Bye Haz." I say, and walk out.
Toms arm wraps around my waist as we walk down the hallway, and he kisses my temple.
"I love how sassy you are." He compliments.
"That guy is an ass." I state.
"Yeah. He is. Luckily he's only here three days a month."
We walk out to his car, and he opens the door for me which brings a smile to my face. I get inside, and buckle up as he goes around to his side.
It feels so good to be getting out of the house, it's pretty entertaining all the time so I don't get bored, but it's not healthy to be inside all the time like that.
"Boys like him make me so happy I'm with someone like you." I say.
"And why's that?" He asks.
"Because if anyone ever disrespects me, I know you'll take care of it." I smile.
"Darling, I'd kill for you. Whether you like it or not."
Just the feeling of complete security and safety makes me happy. I've never had that in my life. Ever. My own home wasn't even safe, so to have someone who would go to the ends of the earth to protect me is the most comforting feeling in the world.
"Tommy.." I say.
"Mhmm?" He hums, turning a corner.
"What do you consider to be a deal breaker for you?"
He looks over to me, an unreadable expression on his face before turning back to the road.
"Not sure what you mean." is all that comes out of his mouth.
We get to a beautiful woodsy area, and he parks the car. I can tell what I said is running through his head..
"So, is there something I should know? Because quite honestly darling I can't think of one thing that would make me not want to be with you." He says honestly.
What I'm about to tell him is pretty big, and I always knew it could ruin whatever relationship I got into. I just want to get it out of the way now, because if it's a deal breaker, I want to get out before it becomes too painful.
"Kids can't be a part of our future." I say quietly.
"Chloe, everyone says that at our age-"
"Tom. It's not that I don't want kids." I interrupt him. "It's that I physically can't have them... I'm infertile."
I can see him processing the information. It scares me to death, because while I've already come to terms with my diagnosis, he might not be able to. He turns to me, grabbing my hands in his.
"So we adopt." He states, making me feel a lot better than I did seconds ago.
"Really? You're okay with it?" I ask.
"Sweetheart, you really think I'd leave you because you can't get pregnant?" He asks in a hurt tone.
"I just didn't know how you'd react is all." I shrug.
"Chloe I don't care what it is, I will always love you for exactly who you are."
