With the Gala tomorrow, I've been spending my entire day doing face masks, re dying my roots, hair masks, basically any self care that will help me feel my absolute best tomorrow.
Tom and Haz left for a suit fitting, leaving me to my lonesome. This house feels pretty depressing when it's evening and I'm all alone. It's too big- and completely secluded from the life that lives a few miles towards town. It's very rare that I miss my old life, and in a way I don't, but I do miss the social interaction.
I walk over to the sofa with my cup of tea, getting comfy as I put on some random show Tom got me into. As I watch the show, I start to get an odd feeling, but I can almost guarantee that it's just because I miss my boyfriend. I feel safe with him, and when he's not around I feel like bad things will happen.
I pull out my phone, sending him a text.
Chloe: this is going to sound cheesy but I miss you.
I press send and lock my phone.
A loud crashing sound- like the sound of glass shattering comes from the other room, and I jump up quickly. My hand rests over my heart, feeling the beating pattern go faster and faster. Something must have fallen..
I could go check it out, and probably see that it was nothing. Or I can head to Rubin or Bens office just to be safe. Before I even make a decision, I start walking down the hallway towards the noise. I think it came from Tom's home office..
I open the door, and my stomach sinks when I see the window is shattered, a big rock sitting on the floor. Someone did this on purpose. Fuck.. I need to get out of here.
I quickly walk down the hallway towards the living room to head through the double doors. But as I reach the living room I see a man standing in the center. He is very tall, and bald with a freakish gaze. Jesus Christ this can't be happening..
my feet slowly start to step back, and the man lets out a light laugh.
"I'm just here to talk, Chloe." He says in a false friendly tone.
I need Tom here. Why is he not here.. I'm just praying that Rubin or someone saw this guy on the security cameras and are on their way.
I continue to walk backwards until I run into a wall, coming to an abrupt stop. He just keeps getting closer to me..
"Can't speak?" He questions my silence. "You know who I am, think real hard."
I look at the mans face.. really looking at it. Then I come to the realization.
"You worked with my dad." I say.
"So she does speak!" He exclaims in amusement. "Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Terry."
The guy that called me a while ago.. I thought Tom took care of this when he brought my dad here. I thought all of this was over with.
"What do you want?" I question.
"The three million pounds worth of drugs you stole." He states and my eyes widen.
"I never stole any drugs!" I exclaim.
"Not consciously." He nods. "But you did. I need it back. Now."
Cmon Tom.. get home already.
"Give me the fucking drugs Chloe!" He yells loudly at me, and I squeeze my eyes shut, desperately trying to think of what Tom would tell me to do in this situation.
"You have ten seconds to tell me where the car is." He says.
Okay.. I know what I have to do.
"Fine. It's in the garage, we got it from the impound." I lie.
If I can just get him to the garage, maybe we will be seen on the security cameras. If we're not though.. this could go very wrong.
"Take me to it." He says.
He grabs my arm, pulling me away from the wall roughly and I wince, walking in front of him to go out the front door. If I walk slowly enough by the cameras at the front door and garage door.. it might just work.
We walk outside the house, and I look into the cameras, just hoping someone is on the other side. But as we get closer and closer to Toms garage, I start to realize no one is going to help me. I'm all on my own. Defenseless.
I punch in the code to get inside the garage, and the door opens slowly, revealing that there is in fact no car in here that isn't Toms. The man looks around, then to me. He's obviously angry. He grabs me by my neck, slamming me against the wall, just as my dad did. I grab his wrist with both of my hands, desperately trying to pull his grasp off me. I look into the mans grey eyes, terrified that this will be the last sight I ever see as it gets harder to breathe.
"Take your hands off my girl. Now." I heard Toms voice say lowly.
The mans grasp loosens, and I fall to the ground, trying to catch my breath. I look up, seeing Tom holding his small silver pistol to the mans head. Haz grabs me, pulling me up in his arms and taking me out of the room as quickly as he can, not quick enough though to avoid the sound of one single gunshot, followed by the sound of the large mans body dropping to the ground. I can't help the tears that fall from my eyes, feeling the trauma that just seems to follow me everywhere. I just want all of this drama to be over..
We get into the house, and Tom is quick to come in behind us, and pulls me into him. He strokes my hair and kisses my head.
"Shhh, it's okay." He whispers. "I'm so sorry I wasn't here. You're okay now.."
I wrap my arms around Tom tightly, clinging to him with fear.
"Go tell the guys to get his body out of here." Tom says, and Haz heads off to take care of the situation.
"I didn't know what to do-" I shake my head.
"I know sweetheart. It's okay." He tries to comfort me. "Nothing like that is ever gonna happen again. Ever."

I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling as I listen to Toms conversation going on in his home office.
"How the fuck did he get past the gate? I thought I said double the security!" He yells at some poor employee of his.
"We did! I don't understand how this happened sir." The guy states.
"Well figure it out or we're going to have a problem." He says lowly, sounding very intimidating.
"Of course sir. I'll figure it out."
I hear footsteps coming towards the room, and Tom peeks in, getting a concerned look when he sees in still awake.
"Baby you need to sleep." He sighs, sitting on the side of the bed.
"Can't." I say plainly.
"Wanna talk about it?" He asks.
He brushes through my hair with his fingers, and it puts me at ease.
"I'm too scared to go to sleep.." I mumble, and I can tell my words break his heart.
He grabs his phone, clicking on a contact and putting it to his ear.
"Ben, I need you to pull an all nighter outside our door. Thank you."
He hangs up the phone, and turns to me. He grabs the pistol out of his bedside drawer, and holds it up to show me.
"I have this right here, just in case. No one can hurt you darling. I'll be right by your side and I'll stay awake until you fall asleep." He says. "Okay?"
"Okay." I nod.
He gets in bed next to me, and pulls me to lay my head on his chest. He knows hearing his heartbeat helps me to relax.
"I'm gonna get you out of here one day, and we're gonna have a big house in a nice neighborhood, maybe adopt a couple kids.. we're gonna have a whole life and everything that has happened to you won't be a worry anymore. I promise you."
