The large, swirling dark clouds above prevented any possible light from exposing itself, yet the moonless night was still quite illuminated. The Dark Mark shone in the sky and spells gleamed in the air; they flew past or landed on the people who were vigorously fighting one another.
Shouts of effort, cries of help and agony was all anyone could hear, even though the small Wizarding town's buildings were collapsing, therefore the crumbling was loud as that happened. That caused several people to be left dead in the ruins.
"Otto!" screamed Aoife, swiftly flicking her wand back and forth to deflect curses and spells thrown at her.
Her husband snapped his head in her direction after Aoife's scream and ran towards her briskly, nonverbally stopping curses from hitting him as he ran.
When Otto arrived at her side, he quickly pecked her lips before they both intertwined their fingers, instantly yelling counter-curses afterwards.
"Are you alright?!" asked Otto frantically before bellowing, "CONFRINGO!"
"I'm fine, I'm fine! I just couldn't see you so I wasn't sure you were alright!" responded Aoife, tightening her grip around his hand. "Protego!"
"Don't worry, I'm alright, Fa!" he assured, continuing to shout spell after spell.
Then, a Death Eater snuck up from behind them and insanely giggled, "Expelliarmus!"
Like expected, the couple's wands shot out of their hands and landed far away from them. However, Otto and Aoife weren't worried at all.
"Say goodbye, lovebirds!" the Death Eater snickered, raising her wand as she began to hysterically shrill, "AVAD—"
Yet before she could finish saying the Unforgivable Curse, the married two said aloud, "Accio wand!"
In an instant, both their wands flew back into their hands and they pointed them at the female Death Eater, roaring indignantly in unison, "Impedimenta!"
The woman stopped in her tracks, and to finish it all off Aoife said cheekily, "Petrificus Totalus!" She then turned to face her husband and quipped, "Thank Merlin we took some wandless lessons with McGonagall!"
At that Otto softly chuckled prior to repeating more and more counter-curses and spells. A moment later, Aoife walked towards the woman who could've killed her and Otto. The bushy-haired Ravenclaw drew the Death Eater's wand out of her hand and snapped it in half, afore dropping it on the ground and shrieking, "Incendio!"
