Sent up to the Maze as an experiment - the only girl before Teresa - Ada felt thrown in at the deep end. Similar accents and natural cooking skills clearly earnt her her closest friends; but she couldn't tell what it was specifically that made her fall for Gally. She just did.

I should also mention, although Newt and Ada have the same English accent, they are not related. I just thought it would be a fun detail to add :)
