"Tae, can you come here for a minute?", Namjoon asks as he spots Taehyung watching TV. The boy looks up at him and nods, turning off the device quickly before joining him on the dining table.

"Yes?", he says. Namjoon smiles at him. He's a little nervous but he knows Taehyung is a smart boy and he will probably understand why Namjoon is doing what he's doing.

"You know I love you, right?", he asks. Taehyung laughs a little. "Of course I know that, Dad. What's the matter?", he questions. Namjoon takes a deep breath.

"You know it's hard for me to--- to be alone?", he starts explaining as slowly as he can. Taehyung frowns a little. "Alone? But you have me", he points out the obvious.

Namjoon smiles. "Yeah but I'm not talking about that. You know I'm still young, Taehyung-ah. After your dad, I've spent almost eleven years of my life alone. I have you, of course. But it's different than having a partner, an adult you can lean on", he says.

Taehyung nods. He knows where this is going. Dread starts filling his stomach. "Yes... Dad, do you... You want to start dating again?", he asks cautiously. This is not about him.

Namjoon nods but he looks a little anxious. "I mean... I'm---", he trails off, not knowing how to continue his sentence further. Taehyung takes his Dad's hand, smiling up at him.

That's all the encouragement he needs.

"Taehyung-ah, I'm getting married".

"What?!", Jimin exclaims. They're back in the music room and Taehyung looks like he's about to cry. "Yes, he's getting fucking married!", Taehyung yells, distressed.

"But I thought you were okay with it? I thought you didn't want to do anything with my Appa", Jimin whispers, skeptical. "I don't. He's a cheater. I don't want my Dad to be with a cheater just because of me", Taehyung answers.

Jimin clenches his fists. "Stop calling him that", he growls lowly. Taehyung raises a sarcastic eyebrow at him. "Why? Jimin, just because he's your dad doesn't mean he didn't cheat on mine. He's still a fucking cheater", he spits.

"I said stop it!", Jimin spits back angrily. His patience is running thin. His Appa did make a mistake. A huge one. But that doesn't mean he'd let anyone disrespect him like this. Not even someone who's supposed to be his brother.

"I won't", Taehyung says stubbornly. "Cheater!", he exclaims loudly. "He's not a cheater!", Jimin shouts right back. "He is! He cheated on my Dad!", Taehyung argues.

This is where Jimin's patience breaks loose.

"He never fucking cheated on your Dad!", he screams finally. Taehyung stares at him, stunned. "W-What", he stutters, disbelieving. "He never cheated on Namjoon Appa", Jimin whispers, tears streaming down the corner of his eyes.

"But Dad said...", Taehyung trails off. Surely, his Dad wouldn't lie to him, would he? "I know what you're thinking, Tae", Jimin says. Taehyung looks at him and he continues. "Don't worry. Your Dad didn't lie to you. My Appa just fucked up", he chuckles sadly.

"Tell me everything".

"Oh god", Taehyung mumbles when Jimin ends the story. He hadn't even thought this was all so messed up. "Yeah. My Appa did make a mistake but his intentions were never bad, Tae. He didn't cheat on your Dad", Jimin says.

"In fact, he still loves him a lot. He told me that they met after the function that day", he adds. Taehyung's eyes widen. This is news to him. Namjoon never told him about this.

"My god, really?", he asks. Jimin nods. "He said he knew that we were trying to come up with a plan to get them back together. He asked me to give up already because apparently, Namjoon Appa hates him", he says sadly.

Taehyung shakes his head furiously. "Oh god. No, no. He doesn't hate your Appa. Not at all. I think he loves him way too much. He looked so sad that day but I could see the relief in his eyes", he says.

"Do you know why?", he asks. Jimin frowns, shaking his head. "Because he loves your Appa. Seeing him after so many years, alive and healthy, it made him feel relieved, Jiminie", he says softly, smiling.

Jimin's mouth hangs open. There's still a question lingering in his mind though. "But then, why is he marrying someone else if he still loves Appa?", he asks. Taehyung bites his lip in thought.

"Think about it like this, Minie. My Dad never introduced me to this partner of his in these eleven years. But suddenly after meeting your Appa, he decided to marry him. Do you see where I'm going with this?", he asks with a sad grin.

Jimin nods slowly. "It all makes sense, Tae. Your Dad is trying to find an escape. Because he still loves my Appa. After meeting him, he couldn't just act like everything was okay. So, the person he's gonna marry is supposed to be nothing but a distraction", he whispers.

Taehyung nods. "That's so wrong of him, Minie. He doesn't realize it now because he's drowning in his own sadness. But he'll regret it later. I can't let him do this to himself", he pleads.

"And he'll ruin not only his own life but also the person he's marrying", Jimin says. Taehyung nods. "This will just make us all miserable. We have to do something, Minie. We can't let this happen".

Jimin takes a deep breath and takes Taehyung's hand in his. "You're right TaeTae. We can't make the same mistake as Appa. We have to do something. We need to come up with a plan before it's too late", he says with determination.

Taehyung squeezes his hand. "We can do this. We can get them back together", he says firmly. Jimin smiles widely at him, wiping his tears. Along with Taehyung, he will do whatever it takes to make things right.

"Let's do this, TaeTae. Let's make it right".
