11. Packing up

"Ivy. we wont let them take you back, we wont leave your side... but protect Bellas family, you know that dont you?" Carlisle said calmly
"but-" I started
"we can try it... we wont be selling the house, well keep it. If it isn't working well come back.... we'll never leave forks for good" Esme smiled over to me
"can I sleep on it...?" I sniffled
"of course, but do know, we'll be packing up tomorrow" Carlisle informed me as I stood up. I nodded briefly before heading off to my room. the second I got in I collapsed on my bed, completely drained from the flashback and just fell asleep...
THE NEXT DAY...

i this whole thing, but if I do it, it wont be for Bella, it will be for Edward, and I know I was friends for her for a bit, but this whole thing has made me hate her again.
after a few minutes of sitting on my bed thinking, I decided I'd go and talk to Edward before we headed off to school.

"I still think its a horrible idea, but I will do it. not for Bella's sake though but for yours, I want you happy Edward, I've had enough of your miserable face these last 100 years" I chuckled softly
"very funny." he rolled his eyes "I'm surprised your even talking to me... after yesterdays um mishap" he scratched the back of his neck
"Edward you apologised for the arm thing yesterday, and I said it was fine. Don't worry about it"
"Can I see your arm?" he approached me "Carlisle said it uh, cracked..."
"I- uh yeah, but it isn't bad! trust me, I mean I dont even know. but yeah, here" I rolled the sleeve of my hoodie up and pointed my arm out in his direction, his once calm, friendly face quickly shifted to a stone, cold face.

"Ed, stop... dont say that" I pulled my sleeve down "everyone makes mistakes, okay? As long as you think before doing something, it'll be fine" I grabbed him, pulling him into a big hug
"this is another reason we are leaving, I'm putting her in danger"
"yeah, I think you've already said that" I sighed thinking back to yesterday
"Well, um, you should start packing before school starts" he lightly nudged me towards the door
"you okay?" I asked quickly
"yeah" he sent me a smile as I walked swiftly back to my room. as I pulled numerous books down from my first bookshelf I realised that I didn't have any boxes, I sighed loudly.

"what is it darling? are you feeling ok?" she instantly came up to me holding my arms to my side
I chuckled slightly "I'm feeling fine, I was just wondering if you could get me some boxes, Please" I smiled lovingly
"Okay course! I'll be back in just a second" she smiled back before she ran off. as she was gone I carried on stacking more books together neatly on the floor, putting them together by which shelf they go on.

"have you decided then?" she asked
I nodded "I'll do it, but only for Edward... not Bella"
"of course" she laughed a little "now, do you want a hand? or are you fine on your own?"
"I'll be fine on my own"
she nodded slightly before making her way out of my room. I inhaled deeply as I began to pack properly.

by the time we needed to leave I had filled 4 boxes full with books and Clothes so far.

"ed running over to my wardrobe to grab a pair of chunky Doc. Martins, when I'd finally put them on I grabbed my phone and headphones before running down to the kitchen.

I slowly started to walk behind the two, upset that Jasper, the one who surprisingly makes me laugh the most, wont be there today...
AFTER SCHOOL...
"Are you staying over tonight?" Bella asked Edward as we were walking to our cars
"I can't" he replied to her coldly
she sighed "why not?"
I could tell Edward had no proper experience in lying
"We need to go hunting tonight... Carlisle says we need a more reliable schedule with that" I lied while laughing
"ohh, you should of just said Edward" she nudged him softly
"yeah... sorry" as he finished his sentence he'd already opened the drivers door on Bella's truck
"I'll see you tomorrow" she said, a little confused at how rushed he was, though he didn't reply to her, just shut the door and pulled me slightly towards our car.

"So Bella isn't too shocked, I'll go tomorrow with Esme and Jasper tomorrow, to the new house-" she started
"where even is the new house?" I cut her off
"Ithaca" Edward answered
I thought for a moment "isn't that in New York?"
they both nodded
I sighed
"Anyway yeah, I'll go with them tomorrow, Ivy on Thursday you go with Carlisle, unless you want to stay a day and go there with Edward then feel free" Alice finished
"you should go with Carlisle" Edward insisted as we pulled up outside of the house
"cant I stay with you?" I asked getting out of the car
"no, I wasn't planning on going straight to New York, I'll go there but not straight away"
"oh, ok"
