12. New York

(A FEW DAYS LATER )
A/n  - Heres a quick update, its been about 3 days since the Cullen's left Forks to New York ( its now September the 19th) though Edward still hasn't joined them. They've realised how much harder New York is to Forks. They couldn't enrol Ivy and Alice into the local school due to the mass amount of sun that they weren't expecting. Carlisle got an immediate job at the hospital, but to work night shifts. Jasper has gone  to live in the College about half an hour away from the Cullen's new home to become a Philosophy student. Rosalie and Emmett went to live in another college so they could study together.
So basically there is only 4 people in the Cullen's house during the day at least - Esme, Alice, Carlisle and Ivy, but then at night its only the three girls.
Everyone besides Ivy have already unpacked and gotten their rooms sorted, Ivy doesn't want to unpack anything just in case they move back FAST , And refuses to call the new house 'home'

AND yes i know they only stay in New York for a few months before going back to Forks but so i can actually understand what things look like i add pictures :)

(THE ACTUAL STORY NOW)

"Hi" i announced myself slightly as i walked into the living room of the new house
"hello sweetheart" Carlisle smiled at me from the sofa
"Can I go out?" I asked
Esme and Carlisle's faces both dropped
"no, I thought not." I sighed flopping on the edge of the sofa
"we can go out tonight though, if you want" Esme told me
"no, its alright" I sat up "where's Alice?"
"in her room"
I nodded a thanks before (Vampire) running to my room, grabbing my... Journal? and then just walking down the hall to Alice's room

"hello" she smiled, sitting up on the little sofa bed thing she has in her new room
I waved as I sat myself next to her
"what?" she instantly looked at me a little worried
"ive seen Edward in Italy... whys he there?" I said showing her a page in my journal. I had drawn out the view from what seems like Edwards balcony in a small apartment, I flipped to the next page full of writing from me explaining things. she took the book from my hand and studied it carefully. then she started flipping through the pages, she found the notes of things I'd seen Bella doing, which granted isn't much, all shes been doing is going to school then sitting in a rocking chair, blah, blah.

"Ivy... Edward told us not to look onto Bella" she sighed passing me the book
"I know, but I cant help it. I'm just making sure she isn't dead or anything - obviously I'm only doing it for Edwards sake, god knows what he'd do if she died" I chuckled slowly, if that's even possible. "Anyway! I wanted to know why Edwards in Italy, he could be here with us" I frowned
"I've been concentrating on Edward, but I didn't recognise were he was, I'm still wondering why he isn't here... maybe because he hurt you, that might be a reason." she shrugged
"I dont like it here..." I changed the subject slightly
"oh I know, like look around my room, ive unpacked everything, the only thing you've unpacked is a book and your sheets" she laughed
"well yeah, were going home soon"
"ivy - "
"dont, dont try... we are going home soon"
"okay, alright" she held her hands up in defence "so, what do you want to do?" she asked
"We could watch a movie?" I pointed down to the living room "I'm sure Carlisle and Esme would like to watch too"
"sounds good, you go and pick one." she pushed me of her seat thing "I'll be with you in a second"
I nodded as i grabbed my journal and took it back to my room quickly, hiding it under the loose floorboard i'd found the other day, I wouldn't want Esme to find it... she'll think im crazy.

once id gotten that I took my shoes off then ran to the living room. bumping into Carlisle who was just pacing around the Living room, clearly bored out of his mind.
"go sit" I chuckled
"what? why?" he replied, shocked by the change of tone from an hour ago
"we are going to watch movies, Alice's idea" I shrugged, grabbing the remote off the coffee table and hopping on the sofa in between Carlisle and Esme, leaving enough room for Alice of course.

I scrolled through Netflix for quite a while looking at all the random movies until one caught my eye.

"Titanic"

"Do you remember the titanic?" I asked turning to Carlisle, stalling time as I was waiting for Alice to come down
"yeah, it was sad... how about you, do you remember?" he asked
"not much... though I was like..." I did the simple math in my head "9 so I was probably just playing dolls with Edward or something" I chuckled just as Alice appeared
"what are we watching?" she asked
"Titanic" I smiled switching the movie on...
AFTER THE MOIVE
"I'lL nEvEr LeT gO JaCk... then she instantly pushes him under the water! like come on, talk about mixed emotions" I shook my head in disgust "and Leo didn't deserve to do done so dirty" I let some 21st century slang out as I ranted about the ending of the movie
"done dirty?" Carlisle asked
"oh right. uh like he didn't deserve it" I made it more old school... ish for him to understand. but as I was trying to explain it we heard sniffles coming from beside us, we looked over and saw Alice and Esme with tears streaming down their faces
"your crying?" I asked, trying to contain my laughed "I know it was tragic and that but come on!"
"so many people died!" Alice cried
"yes... upsetting but not--" as I was defending my need to laugh the house phone started to ring, I immediately jumped off the sofa and ran to the phone almost crushing it in my hand as I answered it.

"hello?" I spoke, my voice sounding needy
"Hi Ivy" Edwards raspy voice croaked
"what is it you want?" asked trying to stay calm
"could you get Carlisle for me?" he asked
"yeah. of course... hey uh" I was walking back to the sofa "I miss you, I know it hasn't been long but I do"
"miss you too weirdo" he chuckled very slightly
"alright heres Carlisle for you"
I handed the phone to Carlisle and went straight to my room..
