HE CRIED INTO FELIX'S chest, clutching onto the back of his shirt as if it were going to provide him with the most emotional support he could get at the moment.

Eventually, he relaxed into Felix's hold, his sobbing falling only into sniffles.

Felix started to comb his hand through his hair, humming softly.

Chan released a small sigh, but he didn't move away. The hum that was rolling in Felix's chest was warm, a soft sound. It wasn't anything short of comforting.

"Are you feeling okay?" Felix asked quietly, taking a small step backwards to look down at him. Chan just peered back up at him, "Or, better at least?"

He leaned back against the bed, pulling his arms from around Felix's waist, and wiping at his eyes with the pack of his hands, "I-I think so."

Felix nodded his head, combing his hand through Chan's hair a final time before he gently traced his finger along his jawline. "Are you sure?"

The brunet nodded his head, sniffling and wiping his eyes with his hands a final time. "I'm sure I'm okay now. Just kinda had to get it all out, right?" He laughed softly, using his index finger to rub beneath his eyes.

"How about we take a little bit of a break, hm?" Felix traced his finger along Chan's jawline again, delicately ghosting over his skin, "I think you could use a bit of a day off."

Chan smiled softly, and glanced down at his feet with a sigh. He didn't want to take a break and risk falling behind. He didn't have any room to do that. He didn't have enough training, he didn't have the strength to take a day off, he wasn't prepared for a day off.

I can't take the day off, I need to practice-

"Channie," the phoenix let out a soft whine-like noise, leaning his forehead against Chan's briefly before he lifted it and pressed a small kiss to Chan's forehead, "We just need to take a day off. You're overwhelmed. Just, please, take a little bit of a day off. If not for yourself, then for me."

He swallowed, rolling his lips between his teeth before he nodded his head. Felix smiled softly, gently holding Chan's face in his hands to press another kiss to his forehead.

Felix then pulled away and motioned towards the bed, "Lay down, Chan. Take a nap."

Raising his eyes to look at Felix once again, Chan gave him a small, sad smile. "I don't want to take a nap." He told him, gently chewing on his bottom lip as he turned his eyes away, "I know that's childish, but I don't want to take a nap."

"That's fine," the latter smiled softly, carding a hand through his hair, "But at least lay down for a little bit, alright?"

Chan rolled his eyes, and slowly slipped his shoes off of his feet.

Seconds later, Felix walked to the foot of the bed and tossed himself onto it. Chan just watched as he rotated himself on the bed and then laid on his back, his arms open.

Even without direct invitation, Chan turned himself around and wrapped his arms around Felix's waist once again, resting his head on the latter's chest with a small sigh.

Felix released a tiny laugh, "I'm glad you're feeling a bit better, Chan."

The brunet hummed softly, shifting himself so that he as laying on his stomach on top of Felix, his face hidden against his chest.

"And you said you didn't want to take a nap?"

Chan snorted softly, squeezing Felix slightly, "That's because you didn't say you were going to join me. I'm suddenly super duper tired."
