I woke up the next morning with a headache. Maybe drinking scotch last night wasn't a good idea.
"Goodmorning" Stefan said
"Goodmorning" I replied
"Is that scotch?" He asked
"Yeah, I drank a little last night" I replied
"I see" he said
"Yeah I'm going to brush my teeth" I said
I got up and went to brush my teeth.
"Let's get breakfast" I said
Stefan got up and we went to eat breakfast. Everyone was already downstairs.
"Ok, so dad is awake. It's still one at a time so we will just go in order. I'll go then Amelia, then Stefan and then Julia" Louis said
"Ok, what time are you leaving?" Amelia asked
"In an hour. I'll text you when you should come to the hospital" Louis replied
"Ok" Julia said
We all ate breakfast and I went upstairs to get ready.
"Hey are you feeling better?" I asked
"Yeah, thank you" he said
"Of course, I'm your girlfriend I'm always here for you" I replied
I took the shower and got ready for the day. I checked my phone and Janelle texted me to check my emails
No fucking way, it couldn't be true.

This Friday.
It was Sunday
I don't know when I would be back in New York.
I read through the whole email and it was for this Friday in Australia
Australia?
I couldn't go I'm supposed to be here for Stefan. I couldn't do that to Stefan, he's always there for me. I knew what I needed to do, I couldn't go.
I put my computer to the side and went downstairs to grab a snack.
"Hey" I said to Julia who was already in the kitchen.
"Hi" she replied
"How are you?" I asked
"Fine, I'm just glad my dad is out of surgery and awake" she replied
"Yeah, it will only get better from here" I replied
I grabbed a snack and went back upstairs. I grabbed my computer and did some other work. After a couple hours it was Stefan's turn to go see his dad
"Hey ready to go?" He asked
"Oh you wanted me to come, I didn't know if you did?" I asked
"Yeah, I want you there with me" he replied
"I don't know if your dad wants me there" I said
