Meditation is a great thing when it comes to shifting. I suggest doing a guided meditation before shifting because it helps calm your mind which helps your mind better focus on shifting rather than what happened that day. Meditating could be a 20 minute guided meditation or even just a few minutes of deep breathing. Just clear your mind and think of your DR. I personally meditate right before I try to shift because then there is a short gap between clearing my mind and filling it with thoughts about my DR. This is NOT REQUIRED to do when shifting but I recommend it.
