EPILOGUE

We watch mom and dad unwrap the gift we got them

"Should we be scared?"

Mom asks and Asante and I look at each other and smile before turning to my parents and shaking our heads no

"No why would you be? Just open it already"

I say to mom and she takes a deep breath before opening the box, she takes out the baby onsie and looks at us confused

"Grandma and Grandpa's fave"

She reads confused

"I don't understand"

Dad admits

"Asante is pregnant"

I say and Asante hands mom the sonogram. Mom gasps in shock

"we going to be granparents?"

Mom asks and we nod

"You guys are expecting?"

Dad confirms and we chuckle nodding

"Say goodbye to your sleep"

Asante says and mom gets up and pulls Snowflake up and embraces her in her arms. Dad and I share a hug too with congratulations in between

"This is big. Aaron why didn't you say anything?"

Mom asks as we sit down

"Need I remind you that I was gone and you guys were left with her"

I remind and they laugh turning to Asante

"You so sneaky!"

-4 YEARS LATER

I've just finished helping miss sassypants wash and we trying to get dressed before her mother comes in and catches us. We were supposed to be done about 30 minutes ago but my babygirl and I are the best of friends and we ended up playing more than washing and doing other things

"Kyomi we have to finish before mommy comes here"

I plead with her because looking at the time Asante should be walking in any minute now

"No!"

She says pouting

"I want to wear the pink one with bunny ears"

She says with her arms folded in front of her chest and all, I huff in frustration

"Ok lets make a deal, you wear this jersey and I promise we will get ice cream later"

I plead and she thinks for a second before nodding

"Ok deal"

She says and I help her wear the jersey sighing with relief. My daughter drives a hard bargain and she's only 4.

4 years ago, March 26 Asante gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and we decided to name her Kyomi Athandwa Langa, her first name was given by my mother and Asante named her Athandwa. Kyomi meaning pure and beautiful while Athandwa means to be loved.

Looking back from where we were all those years ago to where we are now I am grateful for all the troubles and the struggles because if it weren't for them then we wouldn't be where we are now. My wife has made a name for herself through the book with Sandy and I have taken a break from the music to focus on producing and managing the record label. Life is going so well and I am happy to say that my wife found her healing and is going around the world changing lives with her story. We had people wanting a book 2 to hear my version of the events and here we are today with Tainted.
