{tw: draco malfoy is in this chapter and he is a dramatic, depressed, death-wish-holding, dude}

The very next day, Harry approached Kendra at breakfast, looking as meek and apologetic as ever. He stood awkwardly over Kendra and Lisa (who was trying not to giggle as she ate her croissant and succeeded for the most part) until Kendra stared him in the eyes.

"What, are you asking for permission? Spit it out, Harry," Kendra rolled her eyes, though she smiled slightly as she did do. Harry shifted uncomfortably.

"Erm... I'm sorry for yelling at you the other night, Kendra. I... was upset about something else and I took it out on you. Forgive me?" Harry mumbled most o his apology but Kendra beamed nonetheless when he asked for her forgiveness.

"Oh, of course I forgive you, Harry," she said, shaking her head. "That doesn't mean you can't go around and keep doing that. It is really starting to get on my nerves, the whole accusing me of thinking you're a liar. I would think you're a liar if you told me you weren't a virgin, but I'll believe you above everyone else about Voldemort."

Lisa flinched at the sound of the name that Kendra, having shared a room with Harry since they were eleven, associated no fear with. Harry flushed at Kendra's comment.

"Erm... alright..." he said slowly, his ears burning with embarrassment. "I'll let you two go eat your lunch- I mean breakfast." And with that Harry sped away as fast as he could. Lisa shook with silent laughter, Luna was laughing into the back of her hand. Even Damon and Mabel were laughing from across the table.

"Wow, Kendra," Lisa exclaimed through her breaths of laughter. "I didn't know you had a sense of humor!"

"Well, it was bound to show up eventually," Kendra said dryly, taking a sip of water, her eyes scanning the faces in the Great Hall absently. Her eyes landed on Theo, who gestured towards the entrance to the Great Hall. Kendra stood. "I'm going to go use the loo."

"Want me to come with?" Lisa asked, setting down her last bite of croissant. "Just in case there's a troll in there or something?" Kendra shook her head.

"I'll be fine," she replied. Lisa rolled her eyes.

"Alright, I'll just pretend I don't see anything when Granger gets up to follow you then, yeah?" Lisa snickered. Kendra stuck her tongue out at her friend but didn't let Lisa hold her back from leaving. She waited just out of sight of the entrance for a few minutes, curiosity burning in her as to what exactly Theodore wanted.

They hadn't spoken at all and Halloween had almost come and gone, the term almost halfway through. Kendra missed him, desperately, but she understood that there were eyes other than her own that were watching and that he could not simply run off with Harry Potter's muggleborn cousin any time he felt like. Still, that didn't ease the ache she felt for him- he had been her first (and probably only) boyfriend, he understood her in a different way than any of her other friends did, and there was a certain thrill of sneaking around with someone that she knew her cousin hated baselessly.

"You're glowing, darling." Kendra's head snapped up to meet Theodore's snarky grin and she smiled back, offering him a brief hug. "I'm almost sure this has something to do with Granger."

"Like I said when I wrote you, the operation is a go," Kendra said, smiling contently. "She's wonderful."

"I guess I'll avoid the library from here on out," he said, smirking. "Let you two go at it in peace."

Kendra flushed deeply, avoiding eye contact with Theo. "What d'you mean, go at it?"

"You know exactly what I mean," Theo shrugged waving her off before returning his hand to the pocket of his robe.
