Time crawled by at a snail's pace as Kendra waited for seven o'clock. She had done everything she could think of at this point, and it was still only five. She had played a game of gobstones with Harry, tried to get Draco to let her braid his hair, and ended up braiding Luna's instead. Hermione was aware of Kendra's impatience and was doing her best to make sure that Kendra didn't tear her hair out waiting.

Even Fleur had joined in their conversation. Bill had gone with Ron to see if they could check on the rest of the Weasleys, all housed in with their Great-Aunt Muriel. Luna had asked them to give Ginny a note from her if they could.

Fleur had asked Draco what he liked to do for fun. The Slytherin squirmed under the scrutiny of everyone else in the room and Kendra couldn't help but grin at him.

"Dunno," he said finally. "It's been a long time since I've done something fun."

"What, you don't consider moping around and being moody fun?" Kendra teased. Draco rolled his eyes.

"That's cathartic, not fun," he shot back. "I used to play chess a lot when I was younger before I was a prick."

"Didn't know there was a time before you were a prick, Malfoy," Harry said, though the usual venomous tone that he directed towards Draco sounded almost teasing.

Draco grinned at Harry unabashedly. "It was a long time ago," he replied, still equally lighthearted. Kendra couldn't help but smile at them both like a proud mother. She was glad they had come to an understanding, whatever it was.

"At least he didn't curse his cousin," Kendra teased, no longer upset about the event. She had forgiven Harry a long time ago. Judging by the look on Hermione's face, she probably had not.

Harry groaned and sunk his head into his hands. "I thought you forgave me for that," he mumbled through his hands.

"If it makes you feel any better, I have plenty of cousins I'd like to curse," Draco said darkly. "On the bright side, I've probably been disowned by now so I'll never have to see any of those shits ever again."

"I hope you'll have to see Theo again," Kendra pointed out, the nagging feeling of worry returning in an instant. "You two are probably related somehow."

"Probably," Draco shrugged. "Think he's more closely related to the Potters and Weasley's than I am though."

Harry looked mildly interested in this. "How?"

"Uh, think his great aunt married a Weasley," Draco said. "I dunno, I have tried very hard to forget all of that garbage."

Hermione stood suddenly. "Come on, Kendra," she said, reaching her hand out to help Kendra out. "You're worrying, let's go find something to take your mind off of it."

"Okay," Kendra said, shooting Harry a look that dared him to interrupt them again and see what happens. "Have fun talking about who you're related to."

Hermione led Kendra up the stairs for the second time that day, back into the room they had claimed as their own. Hermione lay down on the bed, pulling Kendra down with her and bringing Kendra close to her side.

"I don't want to see you worry," Hermione murmured, her hands falling to Kendra's hair, running her hands lazily through it.

Kendra sighed, relaxing her head completely into Hermione's chest. "I know," Kendra said. "I just hate waiting without knowing."

"Then take your mind off of it," Hermione said, as of it was as simple as that.

"I don't know how," Kendra whined. "It's all I can think about."
