"Lyra, have you seen your Uncle Harry around?" Hermione asked her daughter. The 11-year-old shook her head, her dark curly hair bouncing with the movement. Kendra sighed and glanced towards the platform, hoping that Harry had managed to drag Draco with him so she could have a head of icy platinum blonde to spot when they came through the platform.
"If you ever hear him say that he's punctual, Lyra, I want you to give your Uncle Harry a nice, firm, kick in the-" Kendra began.
"What are you getting your kid to do to my ex, hmm?" Damon approached, grinning ear to ear. Kendra rolled her eyes and hugged her best friend. Damon had no kids, but was godfather to both James, Remus, and Lily, having stayed very close friends with Harry over the years despite their romantic past.
"Just letting her know that her Uncle isn't on time ever," Kendra said. A head of blonde hair caught her attention and she grinned as she spotted her nephew, Draco trailing close behind as he desperately tried to control his son. "Isn't that right, James?"
"Aunt Kendra!" her two nephews cried. She turned around only to see a blur and the arms of Remus wrapping around her.
"Remus, you be careful with your auntie!" Harry said, hustling from the platform barrier to catch his energetic second child while his third was in his arms.
"It's fine Harry, Rem knows to play nicely," Kendra brushed off her cousin, turning to her nephew. "Right?"
The ten-year-old beamed up at her, before turning to Hermione and giving her a hug too.
"Have you seen Ron?" Harry asked, slightly out of breath. Hermione shook her head.
"He'll be here," Kendra said, putting her hand on her cousin's shoulder. She sighed. Even after years and years, too many faces were missing from the picture. Luna and Ginny had probably come with Ron and his family, despite the fact that they had no children. Mabel was traveling the world, though they had promised that she would be back in England soon. But Lisa's face was the one that Kendra missed the most, particularly when she knew she would never see the snarky grin of her best friend ever again.
"What's wrong, love?" Hermione asked. Kendra sighed, her voice trembling.
"I miss Lisa," Kendra stated simply, trying to keep herself together in the presence of her daughter and her nephews. Hermione smiled sadly and wrapped her in a hug.
"I know, love, I know." That was all that needed to be said. Kendra smiled back and turned back to the group, spotting Theo walking towards them.
"Where's my favorite goddaughter?" Theo asked, grinning as he pulled Lyra into a hug. "You're getting so big now!"
Hermione smiled. She hadn't always been the world's biggest fan of Kendra's incessant pushing to make Theodore Lyra's godfather, but she understood it. Over time, she had come to like Theo too, particularly after all he did for their daughter. Not to mention the fact that Kendra was almost certain that there was something going on between him and Damon.
"You came," Kendra said, smiling at him. He grinned.
"Wasn't going to miss Lyra's big milestone," he said with a shrug.
"Good to see you, Theo," Hermione commented, offering him a smile, before turning into a conversation with Harry.
A group of red-heads caught their eyes, and Ron, his wife June, and their daughter Wintergreen all entered with a jog, slightly out of breath. Luna and Ginny followed shortly, hand in hand and both laughing at Ron, who was desperately trying to fix his windswept hair.
"Are we late?" He asked, panting. "Had to park the car. Almost bloody ran someone over to get a spot."
"You're right on time," Hermione commented, checking her watch dilligently. "Lyra, come give me a hug, will you?"
