I was sat next to Father and across from Chuck, we were on our way to the Ivy Week Party.

"I don't get why I have to go. It's not like I'm going to apply or even go to an Ivy League school." I protest

"Rosalie, don't say that." Father sighed

"Yeah, we're legacies. We have a free pass." Chuck smirked

"Wow you're dumber than I thought. Life isn't a free pass just because we have money, Chuck there's this little thing called work. You should try it some time." I retort rolling my eyes in annoyance

"Speaking of work, your interview?" Dad wondered

"Now that was easy. I got the job, three days a week a few hours after school." I beam and turn to Chuck

"This is what's called initiative, bro. Try it sometime." I smirk at him

"You got a job in a coffee shop. Big deal, what you'll earn will hardly pay for designer anything." he huffed

"That's one thing I don't miss, being so materialistic. And it's not about the money. well it kind of is, but however much I earn, it will because I worked for it, just like I will work to catch up and graduate at the same time as you. That and there is this thing called savings. Oh that reminds mean you help me create a savings account with all my hard earned cash?" I questioned my father.

"I will add it of my list of things to do." he drawled

I was unbelievably bored. I needed saving, I got up from my seat and walked over to Dan who was serving refreshments.

"Save me please. I'm so bored, really really bored." He chuckled

"I thought you weren't planing to go to an Ivy League."

"I'm not. NYU Journalism. A way to get paid for being really nosy." he laughed "My Father still has hopes though. He think's I'll catch the bug again."

"Where would you think of going...if you were so inclined."

"Harvard. That was the goal. But things change a shift in priorities and well like I said earlier." I answered with a small shrug as he handed me something to drink.

"Rose can I talk to you, for a minute." Serena asked me

"Sure." she took me to one side

"Look, I'm really sorry for leaving when you needed me. There was a lot that happened and I needed to leave." she finally spoke the words that took her what a week since coming back

"Yet a goodbye wasn't on the cards."

"It was an impulse decision. I really am sorry and that it took me this long to apologise." I folded my arms and sighed

"Fine I accept your apology." She looked away

"So you and Dan are friends?"

"We live in the same building. I moved over to Brooklyn so I'm not in the heart of temptation constantly." I reply, she turned back to me
