The next morning came rolling around and unlike yesterday the couple had to wake up and help around the camp. Evian and John were still next to each other as they watched Magneto talk with Jean.
"What do you think they're talking about?" John asked in a hushed tone as he darted his eyes toward the direction of the mutants before glancing back to Evian who was in front of him openly staring unlike him.
She shrugged not really caring what it was about since she knew it was focused on the battle that was coming soon. "Probably about the gun?" She answered just as Magneto made the metal gun raise into the air.
John sighed shaking his head lightly because his girlfriend openly showed that she wasn't really caring about it but also watching what was happening. "Look she's threatening him with the cure" Evian then said as she blankly watched Jean force the cure bullets right in front of Magneto's face.
If she could she would have laughed because of how terrified Magneto was being right now. He was tasting his own medicine after all. Hearing her words John quickly turned his head just as the bullets were dropped into the dirt and a few more words were exchanged between the metal and power users.

When Magneto finally was walking down the small hill away from Jean John and Evian both was already by his side. Though that wasn't the only thing. The same female mutant was on his side as well.
"She shouldn't be here with us" Evian couldn't help but silently roll her eyes as she walked behind the mutant as well as Magneto and John to listen to the whole conversation that was happening. "Her power's completely unstable"
"Only in the wrong hands" Magneto darted back and Evian couldn't help but shake her head. He was just threatened and still wanted to use Jean for more power. Was he serious? And the mutant girl was just as dumb. Jean didn't have to hear from just the girl's loud voice but her thoughts as well.
"You trust her?" John suddenly jumped in putting up the act that he always held around Magneto just to have the man recognize him and the power he held. Even though Magneto already did but John and Evian knew the moment John's power could ever be gone Magneto would drop him.
"She's one of them" The fire user continued as they walked through the campgrounds of the brotherhood. "So were you and Aqua" Magneto then stated making Evian slightly nod. He wasn't wrong. "We" John empathized "stuck with you all the way"

Evian quietly thought as she glanced at John who was still look forward instead of glancing back in her direction. "I would've killed the professor if you'd given me the chance"

The water user stopped in her tracks just as the others did in front of her. She was slightly surprised at the fact that Magneto was scolding John for his words even though she knew it was a lie. She always thought that Magneto didn't like the professor for how long they've been enemies but yet here he was defending him.
