First day of school...

I have no idea what Saint Mary's is like. All I know is that it's some rich ass private school. Thankfully just because it's a catholic school we aren't required to wear a uniform so I can wear my own clothes.

But since it's a private school we are to look completely presentable, so I choose to wear the new dress I bought paired with my white espadrilles wedges

But since it's a private school we are to look completely presentable, so I choose to wear the new dress I bought paired with my white espadrilles wedges. Liam also said that the Brookes are required to uphold our image...whatever that means.

I finish applying light makeup and let my naturally wavy hair flow down my shoulders. Once I was done getting ready, I made my way downstairs. I walk into the kitchen to see everyone sitting at the table.

Things are still slightly awkward so I just silently take my seat and wait for breakfast to be served. I made sure to pack my Lacrosse bag last night for today's tryouts.

I'm super nervous...I have no clue who these girls are, how good they are or even if I'll make the team. If I'm the new girl who gets cut from the team, I would die from embarrassment. I start to nervously tap my knee and bite my fingers. It's weird I'm more nervous for lacrosse tryouts than my first day of school. Honestly I could care less about school...

I'm snapped out of my thoughts when Owen slaps his hand on my knee to stop it from bouncing. "You're literally shaking the whole table," he explains letting go of my knee and everyone is staring at me confused.

"Sorry, I'm just nervous about tryouts," I state, still biting my nails. "Oh that reminds me, since your tryouts are before the boys, you'll have to stay till they're finished. I don't want you accepting a ride from anyone except your brothers. Got it?" Liam explains to me.

"Sounds good," I nod, grabbing a bite of the strawberries. Once we finish breakfast we get up and head to Graysons car since he's driving us but Liam stops me. "Lauren I wanted to speak with you," Liam says causing my eyebrows to furrow.

"I spoke with your old principal and he's informed me about your behavior at your old school and that will not fly here. If I hear you causing unnecessary trouble at school, they'll be consequences," he explains. I slouch down in my seat groaning and the guys laugh at me.

"Got it. I'll be on my best behavior," I smile and grab my bags. We then all head to Graysons car, shoving our backpacks and lacrosse bags in the trunk. I sit in the back with Owen and Grayson and Evan sit in the front.

We pull into the parking lot but they make no move to get out of the car. They all slowly turn to look at me. Jesus what else did I do wrong?

"Listen Lolo, at school we have to keep an ideal image of ourselves." Owen states. "As Liam explained to you, us Brookes are very well known and we will not tolerate any disrespect, as you saw what happens if they do at the mall," Evan says referring to the mall incident.

"I'm sure word will spread like wildfire that you're our sister and with that will come a lot of fake people trying to befriend you because of our last name. Note the difference between fake and genuine people and always be alerted. Never let anyone talk down on you. I'm sure no one will since you're a Brookes but you can't be too sure." Grayson explains and I'm trying to comprehend everything they are saying. Which is a lot. They are acting like I'm going to meet the president or something.

"Also we all eat lunch together, no exceptions. We have lunches prepared for us so just state your name in the lunch line and they'll give you your meal," Evan tells me and my eyes widen. We seriously have our own prepared lunches? Rich people...

We get out of the car and the second we do the whole demeanor changes. They look deadly and fierce. Ok this is actually happening...

We grab our bags and head to the door. Everyone around us is staring and whispering. I noticed every girl I pass is glaring at me and shooting invisible daggers in my head. The hell? What did I do to them? I glare right back at them and their eyes widen and they look away. "You're already learning," Evan laughs and I roll my eyes at him.

The three of them show me where my locker is where I shove my lacrosse bag in. "Ok so where is my math class?" I say closing my locker but when I turn around they are walking away. "Hey!" I yell out and Evan turns around. "Sorry sis we gotta go to class," Evan says walking backwards and I hear multiple people gasp when he says sister.

I flip him off and he grins blowing me a kiss like the asshole he is. I look around and everyone is gawking at me. They soon all pull out their phones typing away and I hear multiple phones go off. Huh, he wasn't wrong when he said word would spread like wildfire about me...

"Hey!" a tall blond says causing me to jump. She has lots of fake tan on her making her look orange. 10 layers of mascara that make her eyelashes look like spiders that honestly terrify me, and bright pink lipstick. She smiles at me and I can tell it's fake.

"I heard that you were looking for the math class, I'm heading that way as well I can show you the way if you want?" she fake smiles again. I look at her quizzically and decide to give her the benefit of the doubt and allow her. All I care about is getting to class. Wow never thought I'd be saying that but Liams words go over in my head and I have to be on my best behavior. I internally roll my eyes.

"That would be very helpful. Thank you," I smile and she shows me the way. "So you're a Brookes?" she asks. "Yep," I say, grabbing my bag's straps. "Ya know we should totally hang out sometime. Maybe at your house?" she states. Ahh there it is. Damn they weren't lying when they said people are fake as fuck, she's the perefect example...literally.

When I don't respond she narrows her eyes on me. "Well here's your class. I'm Emma by the way," she says pointing at my math glass.

Of course her name is Emma...

"Thanks," and with that I head into class. I look back over my shoulder and see that she's glaring at me. I just shrug her off. I don't have the energy to deal with her fakeness. I take an open seat and plop my bag down.

Everyone is looking at me like they are trying to figure me out. An older man walks in and I assume he's the teacher. "Hello class, I believe we have a new student today," he says looking at the class and his eyes land on me. "Hello miss, can you tell us your name?" he asks me.

"Hi, I'm Lauren Brookes," I tell him and once again I hear a few gasps. I look back to the teacher and he physically gulps and his hands start to shake.

Well, they weren't wrong, the Brookes are the shit here...
