The sniffling could be heard from Rose's room. Quiet, but there. You turn to look at the cake and the dress, can't put those presents to waste, can you?
Quickly, you grab a plate from the cabinet and a knife to cut the cake. Carefully sliding the slice of cake on the plate, making sure it looks presentable.
You toss the dress over your shoulder, keeping the cake and the article of clothing away from each other. As you make your way up the stairs, Hudson quickly runs after you as you stop right at Aurora's door.
You turn to look at your furry companion. "No. It's best if it's just me. She's going though a lot right now." The wolf casts his eyes down. Before shoving his face in your palm, you feel a metal object be placed in your hand.
Opening your once closed hand, your fingers grip a fork. You look towards Hudson's face, his eyes slit. As saying 'You forgot a fork, you think she eats like an animal? She's more ladylike than you'.
Sometimes you wish you couldn't read his facial expressions. You give a nervous laugh, than with a breathe of bravery. You knock on the door, the knock sounded louder than it should have.
Maybe it was your nervousness making every little sound or movement more exaggerated then ever. You could feel your hands start to sweat with all this tension and silence.
You quickly wipe your hands on your cotton shirt. Hudson looks at you, you look back. Sad and guilt covered eyes looking back at one other, you sigh accepting the fact Aurora doesn't want to talk.
Might as well eat your sorrows away with this slice of cake. But, it's like fate was on your side, "Come in.." A small, quiet invitation was heard from the other side of the wooden entrance.
Hudson's ears perk at the lovely sound of Aurora's voice, he could hear the sadness as she tried her best to hide it. He quickly blocks your path, which only irritates you more.
You lightly shove him out your way. He growls, stopping you again as you make the first step down the stairs.
"Dude, what's your problem? Aurora doesn't want to be bothered at this moment, if I force myself in her bubble space. I'll pop it, she'll feel uncomfortable and violated. And boom! Our relationship is ruined!"
Hudson once again narrows his eyes at you, making a grunting noise. 'You're fucking stupid, aren't you? And also deaf.' Yeah, you really hate his facial expressions.
He grunts at you again, before shoving his head into your stomach, pushing you back. "Wha-?! Hudson! Stop! You crazy mutt! Hud-!"
Your back roughly hits Aurora's door. While you're busy trying to push him off, the wolf quickly paws at the doorknob until he twists it the right way.
He hears the door click, meaning the door is now opened. He gives a brief smile, before putting on an intimidating front.
Conjuring up all his strength, he forcefully shoves you into the door. Making the wooden entrance open so suddenly, he made sure not to shove you so rough; he loves you too much to hurt you on purpose.
