Fitz was nervous; he knew that a lot of elves didn't support his and Keefe's feelings for each other.
Keefe squeezed his hand. "Don't worry," he said quietly. "It'll be fine. If not, we can just . . . run away together or something."
The idea did help calm Fitz's nerves. "Okay," he said. "We've got this.
Keefe nodded. "Yeah, we do."
They went in separately to where their friends were waiting.
"So, guys," Fitz began, Keefe seated next to hin. "We have something we want to say." Everyone looked at them curiously. "We're together," Fitz suddenly blurted. "Like, romantically." He smiled at Keefe, while their friends' mouths dropped open.
He looked at Sophie, a little worried that they'd hurt her, but she only smiled. "I couldn't imagine anything more perfect," she whispered.
And neither could Fitz.
