It might have been around 9 PM when Kwazii got into bed, but being in bed doesn't mean he's asleep. All he did until he could finally settle down was roll around in bed, or look at his computer screen. His head banged against his keyboard as he took yet another quiz on what type of pizza he was. He exited the tab and shut his computer off, his attention now on the clock as its hands moved their way around. When he first looked at it, it was almost 9:30, and when he looked at it for the second time that night, it was 1 AM.

Kwazii pulled his computer out of the drawer by his bed frame and started to type into the search bar the question he had been asking himself for days.

am i in love?????

Sometimes he wished he never looked at the results. They just made him question himself even more. His eyelids started to shut slowly as he fought against sleep.
"This is a simple yes or no question," he muttered under his breath. His hair was plastered against his forehead as he typed once more into the search bar.

how to tell if im in love

He hoped for no answers, or something that said he wasn't. These sorts of questions had been nagging at him for days now, and he didn't know why. Everything felt so ridiculous. All he found were simple answers: you get very happy around the person, blah blah blah.
"Not exactly helpful right now," Kwazii said, shutting down his computer once again and setting it aside on his dresser. "I can just talk to someone tomorrow," he said as he tugged at the covers, pulling them to his head. Kwazii looked out at the ocean. Everything was still. Everything was quiet.

The complete opposite of him.

He was always an energetic person. Waking up at the crack of dawn just to wake up everyone else by accidentally dropping a bowl full of cereal. Always talking about something that had to do with sea monsters. He was so full of energy, and when he wasn't, then everyone knew something was wrong. Everyone knew about his stories about those sea monsters. He overexaggerated a lot of them, but the one person who was always terrified of them, but deep down, loved when he talked about them was Peso.

Kwazii smiled softly to himself. He and Peso had almost nothing in common, but they were each others balance. Peso was calm and collected when Kwazii wasn't. Would things be different if I told him everything tomorrow? he thought. His smile slowly, but surely, faded away. How would things change? He hated worrying about the future, he wanted to live in the present, but the future was all he was thinking about. As his eyes slowly shut, he thought about what he was going to do.

"I have to do it tomorrow," he told himself. "If not tomorrow, then never."
