As Lily sat and daydreamed on the railing, and Adrien stared at her, Marinette watched Adrien. She noticed the way he looked at her, and could tell he wanted to go over to her. Instead of noticing the signs adrien had noticed, she jumped straight to conclusions and decided that this Lily character was an evil brat who was trying to steal her adrien away from her. Even if she knew he would never end up with herself, she could still dream and make sure he was available. But then he would be sad. But then he would be mine.

Marinette's mind fought with itself for a couple minutes before giving into her selfish tendencies. She decided that she would make sure lily stayed away from adrien, for she had convinced herself that lily was trying to manipulate adrien like lila had done. They even had similar names!

The bell started ringing while marinette was having her internal debate, and Alya was pulling her inside. Marinette cast a glance over her shoulder at Adrien as he made his way over to Lily, offering his hand out to her.

Marinette's heart sank and she planned to tell Alya all her suspicions, completely forgetting that Alya was a huge fan of Lily Richards's music.
