Chapter 21

"ARE you okay, honey?" Nag-aalalang tanong ni Cedrick sa akin habang binabagtas namin ang malaking hallway ng mansion ng mga Watson.

"Uhmm, yes I'm fine." Kiming tugon ko rito.

Ayoko man aminin pero kinakabahan ako. Kinakabahan ako sa mga bagay na maaaring mangyari sa amin. Kinakabahan ako sa bagay na hindi ko maintindihan. At bilang isang pulis, bibihira lang na magkamali ako sa aking kutob.

Hindi ko naman sinasabi na palagi akong tama. Pero bago ako magdesisyon sa mga operasyon namin, sinisigurado kong tama ang aking kutob sa pamamagitan ng mga ebidensya. I am not a perfect policewoman like others assumes, but I am doing my best to do the right thing.

As we walk down the hallway while being guarded with Gregory Watson's, Cedrick's and Frederick's guards, I can't deny that my nervousness continuously growing and it really bothers me to its highest level. Ngayon lang ako kinabahan ng ganito sa tanang buhay ko.

Bumukas ang pinto't sinalubong kami ng isang senaryo na hindi ko lubusang inaasahan.

Napatingin ako sa magpinsan na para bang natural lang sa kanila na makakita ng ganitong eksena. Binalik ko ang aking paningin sa harapan at kahit nasusuka na ako sa aking nasasaksiha'y pinigilan ko ang aking sarili't pumikit na lamang ng mariin. Sinilip ko si Decery na nagpipigil rin, pero sa halip na pumikit, takip-takip nito ang kaniang bibig habang namumuo ang mga luha sa kaniyang mga mata.

Kapwa kami kumapit ng mahigpit sa aming mga kasama habang patuloy na hinahalukay ang aking sikmura sa nasasaksihang mga eksena. They looked at us and hugged us while patting our head like saying, 'everything will be okay.' We both sighed and closed our eyes as we both wished that everything will end well.

I STOPPED myself from shouting and to retaliate after what we saw when the old man Watson opened the door. Ramdam ko ang pagkapit at pagpipigil ni Viola na masuka o umalis sa tabi ko dahil hindi nga naman kaaya-aya ang mga  nakikita namin sa loob ng kwarto. Ramdam ko rin ang pagpanic ni Decery na katabi lang rin ni Frederick. Lihim tuloy kaming nagsisi kung bakit namin dinala ang mga ito, pero wala rin kaming ideya na ganitong klase pala ng mga tao ang mga Watson.

It is a scene of sex with numerous partners, gender and methods. It is also a scene of drug addiction and abuse na kahit ako ay gusto ko ng kumaripas ng takbo papalayo sa lugar na iyon.

The room smells nothing but cums, drugs, alcohols and cigarettes from its users scattered all over the place. And that disgusts me.

Viola's gripped became tighter that made me looked down to her. She has this eyes that saying, 'let's get out of here.' But I just hugged her tight and pat her head like saying, 'everything's gonna be okay.' She then sighed and hugged me back that brought a simle smile of satisfaction in me that sent more strength to face the old man and end this.

Umupo kami sa upuang hindi kalayuan sa mga kababuyan ng mga tao na lango na marahil sa droga. I pulled Viola even closer because I can feel they're eyes-raping us with the way they look at us. And I will not let anything happen to my woman, never, not in my watch.

Gayundin ang ginagawa ni Ricky sa ka-date nito na halatang natatakot sa mga tao na naririto.

Nagkatinginan kaming magpinsan na naka-upo sa magkaibang upuan pero nakaharap sa isa't-isa. We shared a nod that we both know what it means.

Cross Enterprise Builders and Cross Enterprise Constructions are in the same field everyone thought identical. At kami ng pinsan ko na si Ricky ang masasabing perfect duo among all the Cross'. At ang pagdedesisyon ng ganito, ay napakahalagang mapag-usapan namin bago mabuo ang pinal na desisyon.

"I am grateful to see you two here. CEO of Cross Enterprise Builders and Cross Enterprise Constructions. I appreciate your presence here." Nakangiting panimula ni Gregory.

Napatakip ako ng ilong ko kasabay ang pagtakip ko sa ilong ni Viola dahil umaalingasaw ng husto ang droga na ginagamit ng mga tao sa silid na iyon. Sinamaan ko ng tingin ang mag-ama na mukhang siyang-siya sa napapanood nila.

"Cover your nose for me, honey." Malambing kong habilin kay Viola.

Ricky also do the same thing.

"But, you need this, too." Nag-aalalang wika ni Viola, but I just replied with a peck of kiss on her forehead.

"May you introduce your dates to us, gentlemen?" Gregory asked.

Ricky started while holding Decery's hand while looking at her lovingly. "This is my girlfriend. Sofia Decery Uy Limbaga. She is a nurse, a nurse who aided my heart. My love, that old man is Mr. Watson."

Decery nodded to the old man, and the old man did the same before turning to me.

I pulled Viola to me before I started to speak. "This is Viola Belldandy Bently, she is a policewoman who captured this heart of mine, and she is also my bride-to-be. Mr. Watson, I formally invites you to our wedding, very soon."

Kita ko ang gulat sa mga mata ng matanda na nalipat sa kaniyang anak na hindi na rin makatingin sa napopoot niyang ama.

"I thought--"

"There is a Filipino saying, Mr. Watson. Na hindi lahat ng iyong nakikita ay totoo. It means that, do not believe in pretentions. All of what your men reported to you is a piece of shitty acts. We showed them that we're getting along and we're developing into intimacy because I don't want her to be hurt by you because she is a lesbian. So, we planned to trick you. But you tricked me too. You burned my animal clinic that resulted numerous deaths of animals in my care. For the thought that I'll marry your daughter if I focused with the business. But, you know what? You underestimated us. And for that..."

I paused and looked at Ricky with a wide grin writted on his face. We both stand up and said, "we're cutting our ties to you and your company.", in chorus.

We left the old man and Rissa starting an argument while we are happy that we're finally free from the old shit ass of Gregory.
