Just saying, I don't own pjo or the bats and justice league. Uncle Rick and DC does.

The door opened. I looked up to find a middle aged woman staring down at me.

"You want to sign in?" she asked, slightly surprised,

"Erm, Yeah, yeah I do. My name is Nico. Nico di Angelo. I am fourteen years old and I was..." I paused. I didn't really know when I was born. Let's make something up quickly "I was born on January 24"

SHe paused at my hesitation before waving it off.

"Come on in then."

I followed the lady into the house. She had auburn hair and large eyes, surrounded by smile lines. She seemed nice. Katherine, [I learnt her name], told me that I would be staying in room 201, which was the first room on the second floor. I just took a key and walked up the stairs slowly.

The room was as big as the Big house rooms. Not too big, or small. There were three other kids sleeping in the bunks already. One girl and two boys.

I swung my bag onto the empty bunk and climbed up, settling, looking at the ceiling. This certainly would be a new adventure.

The next day, I was sitting at the breakfast table munching on some amazing golden brown waffles as I planned my day. I was going to continue exploring the area, but I think that I would try not to run into trouble this time. That would just be embarrassing.

"So what are you going to do today kids?" Katherine asked us,

"I'm going to play with my barbies." the little girl, Susan, said,

"Work." Josh replied,

"I dunno, just chill," Mike added in,

Before all eyes turned to me,

"Oh, I'm probably just going to walk around, explore the place a bit more. I'm sort of new, in Gotham."

"Ah." Katherine said, looking a little conflicted, "So you're not an orphan?"

"Oh, I am an orphan. I was kidnapped from my previous home, and gotten here. Nightwing saved me." I fibbed,

"So that's why he dropped you off." Susan said, looking up at me enviously.

"Yeah." I smile slightly at her, before picking up my bag and standing, "I'll wash the dishes and then I'll go out. I'll be back in like, an hour, I think."

"Sure, and I can do them, honey."

"Thanks, I'm going to go now," I say, walking out the door, and into the large bustling city.
