"You know, I'm starting not to like this idea" I said, chewing on my nails nervously.

Isaac bit his lip, nodding in agreement. "Sounds kinda dangerous"

"You know what? I definitely don't like this idea, and I definitely don't like him" I said, referring to my uncle Peter.

"You'll be fine" Derek said.

"Does it have to be him?" Isaac questioned.

"He knows how to do it. I don't. Be more dangerous if I tried doing it myself" My brother replied.

"You know Scott doesn't trust him, right? You know, personally, I'd well, I'd trust Scott" Isaac said.

"Do you trust me?" Derek asked.

"Yeah. But I still don't like him"

"Nobody likes him" Derek said.

The door opened and we looked up to see my uncle.

"FYI, yes, coming back from the dead has left my abilities somewhat impaired, but the hearing still works.
So I hope you're comfortable saying whatever it is that you're feeling straight to my face" My uncle Peter said as he walked into the room.

I shrugged. "We don't like you"

"Now shut up and help us" Derek added.

"Fair enough" Peter stood behind a nervous Isaac. "Relax. I'll get more out of you if you're calm"

"How do you know how to do this, again?" Isaac asked anxiously.

"It's an ancient ritual used mostly by alphas, since it's a skill that requires quite a bit of practice. One slip, and you could paralyze someone. Or kill them"

"You-You've had a lot of practice, though, right?" Isaac asked.

"Well, I've never paralyzed anyone"

"Wait, does that mean that you-"

Before Isaac could finish his sentence, Peter pushed his claws into the back of his neck, making Isaac writhe in pain.

I went to step forward.

"Wait, I see them!" Peter exclaimed.

Isaac continued to squirm and yell out in pain.

"Peter stop!" I shouted.

My uncle eventually removed his claws and stumbled backwards from the chair.

"What'd you see?" Derek asked.

"It was confusing" He panted. "Um, images. Vague shapes"

"But you saw something" I said.

"Isaac found them"

"Erica and Boyd?" My brother asked in disbelief.

"I barely saw them. I mean, glimpses" Peter answered.

"But you did see them?" I said.

"Worse"

"Deucalion" Derek said, his jaw clenching.

"He was talking to them. Something about time running out"

"What does it mean?" I asked.

"He's gonna kill them" Derek said.

"No, no, no, he didn't say that. He did make them a promise that by the full moon they'd both be dead" Peter explained.

"The next full moon?" Derek frowned.
