"They're coming aren't they?" I said to Scott.

He nodded.

"I should go and tell Stiles"

He left Kira, Kira's mom and I alone and went upstairs to find Stiles.

"You okay?" I asked Kira.

She nodded but her heartbeat gave her away.

"Do these kind of things always happen around here?" She questioned.

I shrugged. "Eh. From time to time"

I heard footsteps and Scott, Stiles and Melissa came round the corner.

Kira's mom spoke up. "Do you recognise me?" She asked Stiles.

"Stop" Kira rushed over but her mom held her hand out.

"It's okay" Stiles said as he weakly stepped forwards. "I'm the one who asked her to come"

"You're the one who asked to get stabbed with swords?" Kira said to him. "Mom don't do this to him"

"It's already done"

I heard a whoosh of air as the Oni's started to appear from the shadows.

One stepped forwards and placed it's hands on Stiles' neck.

It's eyes started to glow yellow and there was a sizzling sound before Stiles dropped to the ground, shivering and the Oni's had disappeared again.

"Check behind his ear" Mrs Yukimura commanded.

I bent down next to a shivering Stiles as Scott rolled him over to check behind his ear.

"It worked"

"Am I actually me?" Stiles asked.

"More you than a nogitsune" Mrs Yukimura replied.

"Can the Oni find him" I questioned.

"Tomorrow night. It's too close to dawn now" She said.

"Can they kill him?" Stiles added.

"It depends on how strong he is"

"What about Lydia? Why would he take her?"

"Because real Stiles loves her, duh" I joked.

Nobody found it funny.

"Because they'd only take her for an advantage" Kira's mom corrected.

"You mean her power?" Scott asked.

Mrs Yukimura nodded. "The power of a banshee"

"I'm worried about him" I said, nodding towards Stiles who was sleeping on the couch.

"Me too. But there's nothing we can do until dark" Scott said.

"I'm worried about Lydia too. Like super worried"

"We'll find her" Scott said determinedly.

I turned to face him. "Will we? Because at the moment it feels like the nogitsune is ten steps ahead of us. What if we never get her back?"
