SCARLETT AND ALEX WALK AROUND THE TOWN, SHE HAD A STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM cone in her hand as the other rested on her growing belly. Alex was giving her the latest update on what was going on with the fight against the balance.
"They are scared of us." Alex tells her. "And your babies."
"The ones they tried to kill." She says rolling her eyes. She couldn't help the anger seeping through, they tried to kill her kids, her and Dean's kids.
"Nothing is going to happened to them." He tells her placing his hand on her stomach. "I'll make sure nothing happens to them." He says as she looks at him softly.
"If something happens me to, protect them." She tells him.
"With my life." He tells her softly, and she nods.
"You guys make an adorable couple, you'll make great parents." An older lady tells them.
"I uh, we're not together." Scarlett tells her.
"You'll make great parents." She tells them, she winks at Alex before walking away. Alex flushes red, and he tries not to smile, as he watches the woman walking away.
Scarlett couldn't help but smile. "Well that was something."
"Yeah." He says, his mind went to his conversation with Will. Her mind went to Dean, what the hell is going through his mind, how had he reacted. He literally saw her pregnant belly and then she passed out. She couldn't even go through a normal pregnancy. This pregnancy was much more different and difficult than when she was pregnant with Grayson. "We should get back to the compound." He says and she nods. She felt tired and wanted a nap, the only thing she hoped was she didn't make the compound collapse on themselves while she slept.
ARRIVING AT THE COMPOUND, ALEX AND SCARLETT SPLIT WAYS. SCARLETT MADE her way to the library where she grabbed a book before sitting in a chair in the corner of the room. She knew she had to get in contact with Dean one way or another. She wrote him a letter telling him what to do. She sent it to him and just waited for Aiden's call. She began getting sleepy and she grabs a blanket and makes her way to the couch, on the other corner of the room. She felt her sleep welcoming her, and she sighs tiredly.
"Hey." Tyler's voice says softly behind her and her eyes widen, in fear. She didn't want to see his reaction, when he found out she was pregnant by Dean.
"She's very tired from the walk." Alex says behind him and Tyler turns around to face him.
Tyler nods, and leaves before saying, "how is she?"
"Doing her best." Alex tells him.
"Dean's death is taking a toll on her?" Tyler asks.
"Tyler," Alex sighs and the two male stop walking and Tyler turns to look at Alex, "Dean's alive."
"Deans alive?" Tyler asks as the truth settles in. "Why isn't he here?"
"Hunters aren't welcomed here, not humans ones either way." Alex explains.
"And she hasn't gone to see him?" Tyler asks, he knows Scarlett, "Does she know?" If she knew he is alive she would of been leaving, this is the man she loves.
"She knows, but she knows there's more at stake that just Dean. She sees the bigger picture." Alex says leading Tyler to another part of the compound.
"The bigger picture?" Tyler asks, since he wasn't part of the community, things weren't exactly told explicitly, he had a general idea of what's going on but not the entire story. He was seeking asylum here, that's it. After what he done to Hayley and her unborn child, put Jake in danger once again.
SCARLETT SAT IN BED AS SHE HEARD THE PHONE AIDEN GAVE HER GO OFF. SHE SEES it's Aiden's number and she answers quickly.
"Hello." She says.
"Hey doll." The familiar voice says, and she sighs of happiness. She couldn't help but feel the warmth spread throughout her chest.
"Hey Dean." She says softly, memorized by hearing his voice. A voice she only heard in her dreams. One that tormented her and gave her comfort, in her dreams and in real life. Her mind was racing as well as her heart, even if she saw him for a brief moment, she hadn't expected to hear his voice. She expected to have to give Aiden letter to reach him. Her life was complicated as she sure his was.
"I know." He says and the two take deep breathes, understanding each other. "I know doll." He says. "Sammy told me." He says and she tries holing the tears back, she didn't want her emotions to get the best of her.
"I've missed you." She says as tears escape. "I've missed you so much." She tells him as her voice cracks.
"Scarlett." She heard someone say her name, "Scarlett, Scarlett wake up." She felt someone shake her. She opens her eyes and sees Alex kneeling in front of her. He wipes away the tears from her face. She looks around, behind him and she realizes she's in the library, not in her bedroom. Not on her bed talking to Dean, on Aiden's phone.
"You're okay." He tells her.
She can only as tears escape, "he called me." She says, and she doesn't have to explain who he is. Alex knows who he is. It's the he she loves. The one she will always love. "He called me." She says and he nods.
"What did he say?" He asks her softly taking a seat next to her.
She takes a deep breath before saying, "he knows." She takes another deep breath calming herself down. "We did our silence on the phone thing." She says. "It felt so real." She says playing with her hands.
"You're torturing yourself, Scarlett." He tells her. "You've created your own hell." He says and she doesn't look at him.
"You think I'm doing this to myself?" she scoffs at him. "That's I'd put myself through that torture?"
"You've been dreaming about him for months." He says. "You wouldn't be the first person to do it, punishing yourself." He says and the realization hits her, he lost someone he truly cared and loved.
"Your ex-girlfriends death?" She asks him and he nods. "I'm sorry." She says softly and he nods.
"Time will ease the pain." He tells her softly.
"Did it for you?" She asks, part of her wants him to say yes, and the other is terrified is he will deny it.
"At times, I think it hurts more since we were so young. She didn't live her life, she never got the family she wanted to have." He tells her softly and she takes his hand in her, giving it a slight squeeze, she's here for him. "But, she was a firm believer in taking advantage of the time we have." He says and she smiles at him.
"She's sounds amazing." She tells him honestly.
"She would have liked you." He says with a smile and she smiles at him, holding his hand, giving him some comfort.
