"This is Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. I regret to report that both our Jedi Order and the Republic have fallen, with the dark shadow of the Empire rising to take its place. This is a warning and a reminder for any surviving Jedi: trust in the Force. Do not return to the Temple. That time has past. And our future remains uncertain. We will each be challenged; our trust, our faith, our friendships. But we must persevere. And in time, a new hope will emerge. May the Force be with you, always."

Abner Shan stared at the hologram of Master Kenobi that played from his green astromech droid, a R2 unit named R8-A7, who was by Abner's side in the Clone Wars. He still couldn't believe that the Jedi Order had fallen. Abner sat on the bed of his chambers. The chambers had huge transparisteel walls, scarlet floor tiles, wide windows along with royal blue curtains that hung around the windows, a desk next to the giant bed, a giant and spacious closet filled with royal Alderaan attire, a door leading to the bathroom, and two giant doors with golden elegant engravings.

Abner wore his usual Jedi robes. He kept his attire, even after the Jedi purge. At that moment, Abner's wife, Deara Antilles, approached him. She wore a velvet dress with royal blue robes. After the Jedi Order fell, Abner married Deara, who he had met twenty-twenty years ago while on a mission. Deara served as the Queen's advisor, which was her sister, Breha, and caretaker of Leia, the adopted daughter of Bail and Breha Organa. Deara looked much like her younger sister, golden tan skin, long black hair, which was pulled up in many braids all held back by colorful beads, and warm chocolate brown eyes. She placed a hand on her husband's shoulder, breaking him of his train of thought.

"R8, turn off the hologram." Abner urged, his voice on the verge of cracking.

R8 let out an affirmative beep. At that moment, the hologram of Master Kenobi vanished. Abner fought back tears that formed in his honey eyes. He glanced over at Deara, who looked worried.

"Abner, what's wrong?" Deara asked.

"Dea, I've been thinking." Abner began. "I don't think Ayla and I should remain here in Aderaan."

Deara furrowed her brows. "Darling, what are you saying?"

"It's not a good idea that there's three Force-sensitives people on one planet. It will attract the attention of the Empire. The three of us are too powerful when we're together." Abner pointed out. "Ayla and I need to leave, to protect Leia."

Deara shook her head. "No, you don't have to go anywhere. You can stay here."

Abner stood up from their bed, placing a hand on her cheek. "You know that's not possible. We have to do this, sweetheart."

They then looked out the window, where they could see the beautiful Royal gardens filled with different types of flowers, ferns, conifer trees, polished stone benches, chinar trees, statues made of pure white marble, and different types of gentle and docile animals. There they saw their daughter, Ayla playing with her cousin, Leia. Ayla was seven years old. She looked very much like her mother, Deara, with her same golden tan, brown eyes, and black hair. She wore a beautiful blue dress with her long black hair up in braids with strings of beads in her hair along with a hair clasp of the Crest of Alderaan. Leia wore a long white dress with her hair down. They both let out giggles as they chased after Alderaanian flare-wings of different colors, flying high around them. Leia's nanny droid trailed behind them, doing her best to keep up with the children.

"It will be difficult for her to part from her cousin." Deara commented. "They're practically sisters."

"Ayla is strong." Abner pointed out. "And I'm afraid we have no choice."
