My eyes light up. "Are you serious?"

Mando then stood up from the chair as he nodded. "Yeah, we'll get it back, don't you worry. I got a plan."

After we went over the plan, Mando and I left the Razor Crest, leaving R8 behind in the ship. Mando and I walked through the streets. I could feel my heart beating rapidly, prepared to jump out of my chest. I took a deep shaky breath to calm my nerves. We can do this. Once we reached the alley, where the building of where the client and the stormtroopers were located resided. Mando placed a detonator on the side of building.

"Come on." Mando advised.

I followed Mando into the alley, hiding behind another building. We then waited as the side of the client's place. Mando raised a hand up in the air as peaked around the corner to see what was going on. After a few moments, we heard an explosion. We then heard the door open. Mando turned towards me, giving me a nod. "Let's go."

With that, we rushed over towards the building, where a huge hole was, due to the explosion. We made our way inside, finding two stormtroopers inside. Quickly, Mando and I fired our pistols, taking them down in a matter of seconds. A third stormtrooper rushed in, but before I could do anything, Mando spun around, taking him down. We then exchanged a nod as we walked down the hallway. As soon as we approached a door, Mando opened the door before storming inside. I walked in the room after him.

Inside the room, there was a type of droid near a table, where the child was lying inside a machine that was scanning him, unconscious. They were several buttons on the side of the table. No doubt they were scanning him, searching for something. Next to him stood the scientist from earlier. His eyes widened in horror. "No! Please, no!"

Mando then quickly fired a blast, hitting the droid, destroying it. The scientist flinched as he rushed over towards the table, standing in front of the child. We walked towards the scientist, who was trembling.

"Please don't hurt him. It's just a child." The scientist pleaded.

I scoffed. "Says the one who put him in a machine which does God knows what..."

Mando shoved the scientist onto the ground. I glanced over at the child, gently taking him out from the machine. The child was still unconscious, worrying me. Mando whipped around as he raised his pistol towards the scientist.

"What did you do?!" Mando asked, his voice laced with anger. "What did you do to him?!"

The scientist trembled as he croaked out. "I protected him...I-I protected him. If it wasn't for me, he'd be dead...Please!"

I could tell by just looking at this man that he was telling the truth. However, Mando kept his blaster pointed at the terrified man. We should let him go. With that in mind, I placed a hand over his blaster. Mando turned his helmet towards me.

"We should let him go. Clearly he's telling the truth." I pointed out.

To my surprise, Mando listened to me, lowering his pistol. He then lowered his helmet, searching for the child, which rested in my arms. I knew he was worried about the child. So I immediately spoke up. "The child's safe with me, Mando."

Mando gave me a nod before turning around. "Let's go."

We then left the room, leaving the scientist unharmed. Once we made our way down the hallway, we heard a door open. Mando and I quickly hid behind the wall, hearing voices not far from us. Once they were gone, we moved on, making our way towards a storage room not far from us. There were a couple of stormtroopers that came in through another door that stood on the other side of the room. The storage room was filled with boxes and crates. Mando and I exchanged a look, knowing it would be best if we split up. I kept my right arm around the child, keeping him close to my chest, while my other arm was raised up, holding my gun. I held my breath as I heard the stormtroopers' voices.
