It was a new domain...
It was a new beginning...
It was a lifelong anguish and desolation...
They have all witnessed how the whirling tempest shrank and disappeared into thin air. Instead of it sweeping the world of its existence, it gave the earth a second chance. Their biggest fear just happened. The retribution of the milieu was garnered by paying something that they didn't want to sacrifice. They were all crippled in place. They didn't know if they were even breathing or if their hearts finally gave up pumping.
To know that they were going to live their lives without him made them want to erase their very existence or die in the very spot that they were standing on. They desired to let go because there wasn't even anything stable to hold on to. Was there even a world for them to live in? Because this one wasn't acceptable at all.
Samael collapsed on his knees as he stared at the open space of vast greenery. After all that talking...Lucian left him? After making him fall so in love with him, he abandoned him. He was angry. He was thirsty for blood. He was so frustrated.
But most of all...He was so heartbroken.
Was this the punishment of God?
Was this the payment for being happy for a short time?
He was...he was finally living.
He sensed that he was going to explode. It might be better that way. He rather have scattered limbs than to have scattered emotions. Samael gritted his teeth so hard that he didn't care if they would break. He'll crush them and pulverize them and make them look like the state of his heart right now.
"Fa-Father!-" he gasped and continued to stare at the supposed beautiful field of yellow flowers that was similar to what Caleb was holding. It was snowing with blue glowing orbs of warm light. The skies were back to being clear and azure. It was so bright compared to before yet they were living in a dark life with no light at all.
It was pitch black. It was cold and agonizing. They couldn't move. They couldn't speak. He shut his eyes to the repugnant reality with clenched jaws. He started to breathe heavily through his nostrils as he attempted to stop any sobs to come out. He wasn't going to cry...He was going to pray and ask for forgiveness. He will do it everyday if he had to. He will go back to serving Him if it meant of saving him from this reality.
He can't...
He can't do this without him...
"Father!" he roared. His shaking voice broke through the soft chirps of birds. "Please...Don't take him from me!" he yelled and scrambled forward. He will beg. He will kneel. He will be the goody servant that he was made to be. "Please Father! Bring him back to me!" he cried out of desperation. Why wasn't He answering? Why couldn't He peel those eyes open and hear him out for once? Was Samael that unimportant? Why won't He listen?!
Samael continued to scrape his knees on the grass as he moved like that. Fresh and salty tears dripped down from his chin. If he prayed like this, his prayers would be granted. He just needed to be patient. He would look pathetic for him. He would let his dignity be shattered just for Lucian to stay. "Pl-please! Father! Hear me!" he begged. He let his upper body momentarily curl downwards as he wailed pathetically. He continued his prayers until he accidentally rolled down from the shallow pit that he didn't notice.
"Samael!" Sevor called out worriedly and ran to the reaper's side to help Samael up. Caleb couldn't do much to support his rival. He was too weak to even provide strength for others.
He stared down at the magnolia flower that Lucian gave him. It was a gift for all of them. Fenris wouldn't talk to him. He was the last one to speak to Lucian and the wolf was just whimpering in heartache since then.
