• chapter twenty one •

* two months later *

Guess what? Me and Adam are together again? Well, as a matter of fact, yes we are. We decided to give it another try and see if it really works now. Guess what else? The LA Kings won the Stanley fucken Cup! I could not be happier. It was as if everything was finally coming together again. I was also invited to be part of the women's hockey Team USA at Sochi for the winter olympics. Adam would be there too. We both started training in abut a month so it really wasn't much of a break. It's weird, him being in Chicago and me in L.A. but we make it work. It's pretty easy now since season is over. We'll spend equal amount of time in both, just all depending on our schedules.

Tonight we were planning on going out to dinner with the rest of the Ducks. Connie called us all up and decided to arrange dinner while we were all in town for once. She supposibly had a big announcement. Yet again, it is Connie and her getting a discount at the grocery store would be a considered a big announcement to her. I didn't mind though. We would all be reunited like we were just a while ago for my celebration dinner.

I quickly changed into a black sundress that had been in the back of my closet for a while know while Adam wore dark jeans and a white button down. Once we were ready we headed out to a fancy restaurant downtown that Connie had made reservations at. Walking hand in hand, we realized that we were the last ones to arrive and everyone was waiting for us.

Dinner went by smoothly with conversations all over the table but it wasn't overwhelming. Honestly, it felt just how it used to be. We were just drinking beer and talking about life. We had all ordered another round of beer when Connie decided to shush us to make her announcement.

" Alright guys, now the main reason I gathered you guys here today is to make 2 announcements. 1. obviously you guys all know that our otp, Adam and Ana, will be at the Olympics and we will all be flying out to support them. 2. Uhm well, me and Guy are having a kid together., " Connie squealed the last part.

Oh my god! My best friend is having a kid! I am crying so much right now!

I literally jumped into her arms and hugged the living shit out of her. Explained why she wasn't drinking. The congratulations went around and soon enough our night came to an end.

( this fucken sucked but i am so sorry. next chapter is olympics and i am planning on putting my heart into it bc you guys deserve it )
