That one phone call that changed my whole life forever. And not for the better this time. How could I not have noticed. She was my other half and I was her's. I should've noticed all the signs and hints but I didn't.

Anastasia Smith died from bone marrow cancer. At the age of 25. Right when her career was about the reach it's peak.

The love of my life. The one who was gonna be by my side till I died. The one I would greet once up in heaven. The woman who would've been the mother to my children. Had died and no one knew the cause about it. Not one person but that was Ana. Always liked to keep things to herself. Especially if she knew it would affect her loved ones in a negative way.

Now every night before I go off into that ice, I make sure to wear my dog tag that she gave me after our first "marriage" and kiss it. I dedicate everything I do to her. She spent her very last few days with me and they were some of the absolute best. And to this day, whether she's still with me or not, she will always be my happily after.
