Sal's head turned to look over at the small calendar upon his fridge, the date reading February 13th. He nervously swallowed his medication along with his glass of water, setting the glass down on the counter before walking out his front door. He was on his way to Larry's place, but he couldn't help but glance towards your door, smiling as he pictured you doing typical after school Y/N things.

After the usual elevator ride down he arrived at his best pal's apartment, he walked inside and greeted Lisa before heading into Larry's room. "Woah, ever hear of knocking, dude?", Larry called out to him as he scrambled to hide the small stack of paper he had upon his bed. Sallyface raised an eyebrow, "I can't remember the last time I knocked on your door, since when do you care? What're you hiding there, some inappropriate magazines?", Sal jokingly asked with a chuckle as he sat himself on the bed.

Larry shot Sal a playful annoyed look before explaining himself,  "Pfft, shut up. For your information, it's gifts for tomorrow. Better not try to peak either, or I'll tell Y/N about the time you kept mumbling her name while you were sleeping.".

Sal looked up at Larry, "H-hey! That was one time, and you said you'd keep that a secret!", he defensively exclaimed as Larry placed his items within a cabinet drawer before turning to smile at his embarrassed friend, "Heh, relax dude. Just messing with ya.", he told him.

Sallyface gave him a playful punch on the shoulder before letting out a sigh and falling back onto Larry's bed, "Man, I'm so nervous about tomorrow. It's my first Valentine's with someone, and it's not just anyone, it's Y/N.", he explained, sighing yet again, "Y/N...", he cooed while picturing your smiling face within his mind. "Damn.", Larry chuckled to himself while placing the back of his hand upon the forehead Sal's prosthetic, "Yep, looks like you've got a serious case of love sickness. Cupid must've shot you right in the ass, huh?", he remarked with a grin.

Sal nodded, "Yeah, definitely feels that way. I just love Y/N so much, and I want her to feel special tomorrow, but I'm a complete newbie when it comes to this stuff. I already made her something, but I want to buy her something nice too. You think you can give me a ride into town to find the perfect gift?", he asked.

"Sure thing, dude. We should probably grab a bag of candy to grub on during lunch tomorrow too.", Larry remarked while grabbing the keys out of his pocket, "Let's get movin', Sallyface!". Sal trailed behind him as they both walked towards the exit in Larry's room, "Right behind ya.", he replied as his mind raced with possible gift ideas for you.

"Okay...just a bit more detail on his left pigtail...", the pencil within your hand carefully stroked against the paper as you added the finishing touches to Sal's Valentine's gift. "Okay...and done! Geez, that took a little longer than expected but I got it done!", you proudly exclaimed as you held up your work of art; a drawing of both you and Sal in your art style he adored so much.

Beaming with pride at the piece you had worked so hard on, you reached over for the frame you had bought the day before to place the drawing within. Once you had done that, you brought out some blue and red heart-print wrapping paper and carefully wrapped the framed work of art, setting it upon your desk.

"Okay, I've got Sal's gift done, and I've got gifts planned for the rest of the gang too! Tomorrow should be perfect, nothing to worry about!", you happily exclaimed while letting yourself fall onto your bed, eyes shut in an attempt to relax. However, you simply couldn't. Your heart couldn't help but race at the thought of spending Valentine's Day with a significant other; something you had never experienced before.
