Jon's pov

I tried struggling out of my bonds but it was no use. The metal cuffs on my arms, legs, wrists and torso wouldn't budge. I sighed in defeat, body relaxing into the chair I was strapped to.

Then Damian finally began stirring. I noticed from the way his head lifted slightly and how the white skits of his domino mask grew larger; indicating he was opening his eyes.

He groaned softly and fully raised his head. The white of the dominos slid into slits as he looked towards me.

"Superboy...?" He asked.

"Right here Rob." I responded. Damian had now taken notice that he was tied to a chair with thick rope.

He began tugging at it, struggling against his bonds.

"I already tried, it won't budge." I said. That brought Damian's antics to a stop. His masked eyes zeroed in on the black metal collar around my neck.

"Power cancelling?" He asked. I nodded. "How long have I been out?"

I pursed my lips. "Well we were both knocked out, but about twenty minutes ago, I woke up." I said.

Damian nodded lightly. "Any idea where we are or who has us?" He asked.

"No clue." I responded. Damian assessed his bonds again, looking highly uncomfortable.

"Is everything okay?"

"I feel rather vulnerable in this position and I don't like it." He said.

"It'll be okay, we'll get out of here soon. You're super-duper smart." I said with a smirk. Damian smirked back for a second before it fell. It seemed like a deadly thought had crossed his mind because he went pale.

"We need to get out of here." He said, struggling in his bonds again.

"Robin stop! They'll get tighter." I warned. Damian stopped his struggles, cursing in frustration.

"What is the meaning of this? Whoever's behind this, reveal yourself at once!" He shouted.

I heard the sound of footsteps clicking against the pavement floor. Damian seemed to have heard them too; he was glancing around.

"Supersons, we meet once again." A familiar voice said. Damian and I made eye contact.

"Joker Junior?" I asked. The miniature Joker stepped into the light.

"Not just me, my friends too." He said with a grin.

"What is the meaning of this?" Damian snapped.

"Yeah! I thought you were on our side!" I exclaimed. JJ shrugged.

"Rex showed me how you two operate. How the heroes of your world operate and made me better. Now I'm back with him and there's nothing either of you can do." He said before cackling.
