💖Surprise Gift💖

Jon's pov

I kept glancing at the medium sized box in my hands, hearing a shuffle or small squeak every now and then. I smiled softly. I hope Damian will like the gift. I thought as walked up to Wayne Manor's front door. I tucked the box under my arm carefully and knocked with my free hand.

There was a small amount of shouting before the large wooden door swung open, revealing Jason.

"Hi Jason!" I greeted with a smile. The tall man smirked.

"Hey superbrat. The demon didn't say anything about you visiting." He said, moving so I could enter the manor.

"Oh, I have a surprise for him so I decided to not tell him." I said. Jason nodded and closed the door behind me, eyes glued to the box.

"What's in the box?" He quizzed.

"The surprise!" I responded. Jason rolled his eyes.

"I know that, I mean what is it?" He said crossing his arms. I shifted the box again and took off the lid. Jason peered inside. His face softened upon seeing the gift.

"You sure do know him well. He'll love it." Jason chuckled. I placed the lid back on.

"Y'think so?" The ravenette nodded.

"Definitely. He's in the living room by the way, drawing or some shit." Having said that Jason walked off. I headed in the direction of the living room, shifting the box so I held it behind my back.

I peered inside. The curtains were the only source of light. I spotted Damian lying on his stomach in front of the fire place, his back to me. He was indeed sketching like Jason said, but I couldn't see what it was. Damian had failed to notice my presence until I cleared my throat.

He jumped lightly, whipping his head in my direction.

"Kent!" He exclaimed, slamming his sketchbook shut. I decided to let it slide -I usually bother him about what he's sketching-. "What are you doing here? You didn't inform me that you were paying a visit." He said, sitting up crossed legged now facing me.

"Oh well, I uh, I have something for you and I wanted it to be a surprise." I answered, walking forward. Damian crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow.

"Oh?" His eyes caught the box behind my back. "What's that?" He asked, leaning forward as I sat in front of him, setting the box before him.

"It's for you!" I said happily. Damian eyed me wearily and uncrossed his arms. A squeak sounded from the box causing Damian to look at it with confusion.

"This better not be some idiotic prank Kent." Damian hissed. I held up my hands in surrender.

"I promise it's not. Now open it!" I said. Damian scoffed and carefully lifted the lid from the box. He peered inside and just as Jason did, his facial expression softened. He discarded the lid and I watched him in anticipation. I bit my lip.

"Hello there." Damian said softly in a tone I'd only heard once or twice. He reached into the box and carefully picked up the purely white bunny rabbit. He held the small creature to his chest, petting it softly.

He looked so adorable and innocent. I desperately wanted to take a picture. My heart melted as Damian began softly cooing to the bunny that was slightly shaking in fear. 

"Thank you Kent." he whispered softly, giving me a genuine smile. I swallowed.

"You're welcome Dami." I responded. Damian stroked the rabbit's ears and it's shaking came to a stop. "It's a girl by the way." I added. Damian nodded.

"I need a name for you." He mumbled. "She's awfully small." He said, glancing at me. I nodded.

"Yeah, she was the runt." I informed him. Damian hummed.

"I'll name her Tiny." He said with a gentle smile.

"Adorable." I murmured. Damian heard me and smirked.

"Me or the rabbit?" He asked. I blushed and rubbed the back of my neck.

"Well the rabbit of course... But, you're also adorable." I admitted. Damian paused and blushed.

"Sh-shut up Kent. I'm not adorable." He said. I grinned and poked his cheek.

"Yeah you are!"

"No I'm not!"

"Yes you are! Even Tiny agrees!"

"What? No she doesn't, she agrees with me!"

"Doesn't matter, 'cause you are adorable!"

"Stop it you sound like Grayson!"
