IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL SPRING Saturday morning and Lacie was as spending today with Jane, recently jane and prissy has invited Lacie over along with her sister LeAnn for a small tea party.

After Lacie got dressed in a white puffed sleeved dress she tied her hair in a usual hairstyle with the half up half down do with a white bow. After she did that she went downstairs to be greeted by her mother and sister who was patiently waiting by the door

"Ready to go sis?" Asked LeAnn as she handed Lacie her hat as Lacie smiled and happily took it

"Yep ready as I'll ever be," said Lacie, after Lacie said that rosella came into the living room

"Oh girls before you go please take these cookies with you there for the tea party," said rosella as she handed the girls a platter of peanut butter cookies

"Yes mother," said LeAnn as she took the platter from her mother "anything else?"

"Nope that should be it have fun girls," said rosella as she waltzed back into the kitchen, Lacie looked at LeAnn before the two sister bursted in a quiet laughter before walking out the door

As the two girls arrived at the Andrews house they knocked on the door. Prissy opened the door.

"Well welcome come on in," said prissy as she moved to the side to allow the two girls to come into the house. As they stepped in Jane ran up to Lacie.

"Come we must discuss about all the things that's been happening," said Jane

"Yea but there's one thing that I need to do, is billy perhaps here?" Asked Lacie as she looked around, she really wanted to talk to him about what LeAnn said

"Unfortunately he went with Josie into town but he should be back after while," said Jane "honestly I don't really want Josie as my sister in law I rather have you as my sister in law instead,"

Lacie let out a laugh

"I know but we have to do what we don't like," Said Lacie

"Oh and mother wanted us to bring these cookies, where do I set them?" Asked LeAnn

"Oh you can just sit them on the table over there," said prissy as she pointed to a table as LeAnn walked to place them down

"So Lacie I heard you have a baby on the way how does it feel to be a mother are you excited?" Asked prissy

"Yea a little bit," said Lacie as she smiled

"We must throw a baby shower," said Jane "I'll plan it!"

"Jane when it comes time you can definitely plan it along with my mother but I don't want it now I'm just simply enjoying life before it actually happens,"

"Speaking of life Lacie is there something you want to tell the girls?" Asked LeAnn as she looked at her sister

"Well if I must tell them but I met someone in Charlottetown the other day," said Lacie

"Wait does billy know?" Asked Jane

"Not you to," said Lacie as she was tired of hearing that sentence

"Lacie it's obvious that you two like each other I don't see why you guys can't be together," said prissy

"Guys he's with Josie and I'm perhaps maybe might start courting River but just remember all that was in the past," said Lacie "it's over,"

"Yea but I don't want to see you unhappy like the last time I actually want to see you happy,"

"Yeah I know but anyway enough of that let's talk about something different," Said Lacie as she walked over the the table where the tea was sat while the three girls shrugged there shoulders

It has been a few hours and Lacie and LeAnn were walking home. As the two almost started back home someone called out Lacies name

When Lacie turned around it was billy

"Lacie can I talk to you?" Asked billy

Lacie looked back at LeAnn who signaled for her to go on and that she will meet her at the house walked away

"Sure what's up?" Asked Lacie

"Jane told me everything is it true that you are courting someone else?"

"Billy I had no choice,"

"I was actually going to ask my father if it was ok to not marry Josie but I guess I don't need to," said billy as he walked away But Lacie caught up with him

"Billy that's the dumbest idea I've ever heard you are not going to hurt that poor girls heart just for me,"

"Lacie does it ever occur to you that I maybe want to be with you instead of her,"

"I know.. I want to be with you to but it's just to late,"

"Lacie you don't get it... ever since you left Avonlea I felt like I didn't have a purpose in life I missed you Lacie, I miss us."

"There was never an us," said Lacie as she walked away as she walked away she felt like she was about to faint

"Lacie are you ok?" Asked billy as he ran over to Lacie

"I'm fine I just need to get home," said Lacie as she tried to get her focus back but it clearly wasn't working

"Lacie your not fine,"

"Billy I'm fine!" Shouted Lacie as she walked away but soon she collapse

"Lacie!"
