Chapter six: Unleashed Feelings

It was a warm fall day in Avonlea and Lacie and Jane we're outside in front of Lacies house along with LeAnn and prissy having a tea party. As usual they talked about girl stuff, but there was also a topic that Lacie dreaded the most
When she was going to tell billy that she likes him?
"So Lacie when are you telling billy that you like him?" Asked jane As she folded her hands as she laid her chin on it
"Girls I'll do it when I get ready right now I'm just scared," said Lacie as she sat her tea cup down, LeAnn rolled her eyes
"If you haven't noticed, lately she has been dreaming about billy," said LeAnn as she leaned over to prissy and Jane, the two girls giggled
"LeAnn that was supposed to be a secret!" Said Lacie as she flicked a sugar cube at her
"Lacie he likes you back, what do you have to lose?" Asked jane
"I just don't want to get my hopes up and get hurt," said Lacie "like what if he doesn't like me back? That would be embarrassing,"
"True but he won't reject you," said prissy as she smiled
"Plus if you don't take your claim him and Josie will probably be married in the future, do you want that?" Asked jane
"Not really,"
"Then ask him out," said Jane "if you don't I will,"
Authors note : I've been reading your comments on this and there all hilarious honesty but for those who are confused, Jane was trying to do it as a way to help lacie she's not actually getting with her brother 😂
"Fine! I'll ask him out but if he says no this is your fault,"

It was the next day and Lacie was walking to school, she met up with Jane at there usual spot but when she got there, Jane was no where to be found.
"Jane!" Shouted Lacie as she looked around her
No answer
"Janey!" Shouted Lacie again but louder then the first time
No answer
"This isn't funny jane!" Shouted Lacie with frustration in her voice
"Lacie? What are you doing here?" Asked a voice
"Billy? Where janes?" Asked Lacie
"She went off the school, I'm assuming you were with her until I heard you screaming, are you ok?"
"Yea I'm fine, did jane send you here to walk me to school?"
"Yea, so.."
"So," said Lacie
After a while of silence, billy broke the tension
"I heard that you like me,"
"Wait who told you?" Asked Lacie
"Jane, she can't keep secrets," laughed billy
"Yea she can't can she," said Lacie as she laughed along
"So is it true?" Asked billy as he stopped to look at Lacie
"I mean... I do like you... it's just awkward because we're best friends," said Lacie
"Yea but best friends can like each other.. can they?"
"Why do you ask?" Asked Lacie as she suddenly stopped
"Because... I like you back," smiled billy
"Billy that's sweet... but..."
"But.. what?"
"I'm not ready to go out with you yet," said Lacie as she walked away leaving billy behind
"See ya at school!" Shouted billy as he held his hand in the air
"Ya see you at school," said Lacie as she walked away

Hopefully that's as good and sorry it's not long, I've just been busy and senior year is getting harder then before and my dance schedule is kinda hectic as I'm trying to figure out what to do for my senior solo and all that but I'll try to make the next one long...
Oh and if you haven't yet check out my new Gilbert Blythe story maiden of hearts, I'm thinking of making a Jerry Baynard story but I don't have any ideas for the face claim😂
