anna sighed at the text message. she was excited about the manhunt, extremely excited. of course she was nervous too, but it wasn't the manhunt itself she was worried about.

it was nick.

calling him sapnap just didn't feel right, but he didn't even know it was her, and it didn't really seem like the right time to touch back on that situation.

she sent a quick reply back to dream, before hopping in the shower.

once she got out and put some food in her, it was already nearing three. grabbing a bottle of water to ease her throat, she sat down at her desk and pulled out her headphones.

as she entered the call, she could hear four voices talking already, signaling she was the last one there,

"hey, guys!" she spoke, smiling as if they could see her,

"hi! so you get how everything works, right?" dream asked her, earning a hum in response,

she had watched three of the manhunts three nights prior, it was hard, listening to sapnaps voice as if he didn't have a care in the world. she had so much stress about this situation, and even with the past she had with the boy, she didn't want to intrude on him and his friends.

"so, how was your guys day?" she heard a voice she  recognized as badboyhalos, followed by a few small responses as the other three boys set things up, she smiled at his words,

"mine was good, bad! how was yours?"

"mine was great! i had an amazing sandwich!"

she laughed at his words as she set up her own game, "i wish i had a good sandwich right now."

"then go make one real quick! we'll wait for you!" dream spoke, george laughing in the background. they didn't notice how quiet the fourth boy was being,

she laughed at their words, looking at the discord to check if sapnap was still in the call, she noticed. "i totally would if i could."

"why can't you?" bad asked her, worried she was without food, "i can order you one!"

she smiled, "it's not that at all, thank you though bad, you're the sweetest! i'm just at college and the food here sucks, plus i'm stuck in my dorm room. even then i couldn't even taste it if i ordered one."

sapnap felt a bit of jealously run through him at her compliment towards bad. that was his anna. he knew that his friends would never do that to him, especially badboyhalo, but it still hurt hearing her nice words be given to someone else.

"you're in college? where do you go?" george asked her, genuinely curious,

"oh, i go to harvard!" she spoke, smiling proudly as she sat staring at her minecraft home page,

dream verbally gasped at her words, laughing, "so you're like- smart?"

she laughed as well, "i guess so."

"sapnap couldn't relate" bad laughed, not knowing about the situation,

"i so can relate!" he laughed, trying to ignore the fact that anna was in the call. that was his plan, ignore it, and maybe the nervousness will just go away! that's what anna used to tell him at least..

"just ignore it, nick. they aren't even worth your time." the girl spoke as she pulled him through the hallway, her hands wrapped around his arm as they walked. his head still facing the opposite way, facing the people who just said those hurtful words to him,
