In a Romantic Way

You are currently on your way to go to a nearby lake when someone caught your attention. You turned, looking at the tree near you and that's when you saw Obanai, looking at you also.

You waved at him and he waved back, happy that his stalking somehow went well. You see, you were also one of the Hashira's and a certain snakey boy has taken a liking to you.

You walked over to the bottom of the tree calling, "Hey Iguro-kun! Would you like to go with me?!" you asked.

He smiled at your sudden invite, liking how hyper you are. Immediately he went down the tree with Kaburamaru on his neck, as usual.

"Sure. Where?" he asked knowing you'll probably go to the lake or maybe the dango shop.

"The lake... And I'll probably bring some dango's to snack on..." you thought, excited about spending time with him.

He agreed and you two went along to the dango shop so you could buy some dango's and munch on them while just chilling beside the lake. You bought at least twelve dango's, knowing Obanai would also like some.

You then went to the lake, sitting under a certain tree while just gazing in the clear, calm water. You took two dango's and offered one to Obanai who accepted it.

"Sometimes I wonder how I'm not training and just chilling here..." you said while munching on your dango.

You saw Kaburamaru slither towards you and then you picked the little white snake so he could rest on your shoulders. He preferred your lap anyways.

"Maybe the same reason why I'm also here." Obanai replied.

"Hey, (Y/N)-chan, what if a close friend of yours admit that they like you?" he asked suddenly.

"Well, I don't mind since I like all of my friends!" you chirped making him facepalm at your innocence.

"I mean, if they you know, love you..." he said, trying to make it more understandable.

"But I love all of my friends..." you trailed off thinking how you love all of your friends.

He sighed. This was gonna be harder than he thought.

"What I'm trying to say is, if you have a friend that has taken a liking to you. You know, in a romantic way." he explained.

"Ohh... Then I don't mind." you say trying to hide your reddened cheeks. You'd admit you like him but as his friend, you know your limits.

"...You'd better eat your dango. I ate my third one already." you said motioning for him to take his mask off and eat the snack already.

"I'm quite curious Iguro-kun. About what you look like without the bandages..." you admitted making his cheeks turn light pink.

"Oh. I suppose you'll find it horrible anyway." he said as a matter of fact.

"I don't think I find anything bad or horrible about you..." you said making your cheeks redder. You faced him while staring directly into his gold and blue eyes.

"Can I just...." you trailed off putting one of your hands on his bandaged cheek.

He sighed and then he nodded for you to continue. You gently unwrapped the bandages and as soon as you took it off, he looked down.

You then put your hands on both his cheeks to make him look at you. You then smiled when you saw his scars. You traced it gently, not wanting to hurt him in any way.

"Did I ever tell you how handsome you are?" you blurted out unconsciously.

He blushed at your comment before saying, "Thank you..."

"I think you like you even more now. Maybe more than friends?" you thought, not actually clear about what you felt.

"What?" he asked, not believing that you're the one to confess.

"You know, like... I like you a lot... In a romantic way." you say, prepared for a shameful rejection .

"I was going to confess first but you got me there."

"You mean you like me too?! In a romantic way Iguro-kun!!!" you squealed.

He nodded. You then got so carried away that you cupped both his cheeks and kissed his scars one by one.

"I'm sorry.. I got carried away." you said, smiling sheepishly. He smiled back at you and both of you then proceeded to eat the dango's while chilling beside the lake.

'This day couldn't get any better... Probably one of the best days I ever had.." you thought.
