You looked at your long-time crush, Tomioka Giyuu walking to your direction. You know why though.

It was not because he likes you but rather because he likes Shinobu. That does not make any sense on its own but that's why we're here today.

You've been helping him win Shinobu's heart, seeing as you and her are friends.

The day he walked up to you with a pink tint on his cheeks made you think that he may have something to confess to you. He did have one but much to your disappointment, he just walked past you.

You caught up to him, eventually and asked him what was wrong. It took a little bit of confrontation but as soon as you heard him tell the truth, you smiled.

Happily, as he saw it but, actually, you were smiling to hide the pain.

"Okay! I'll help you then, Tomioka-san."

That's what you told him that day.

And ever since then, you did your best.

You didn't want to tell him the truth.

Shinobu obviously like him back.

So no space for you.

You decided to just forget about it and continue on your daily miserable life. That's how you managed it. It's been a couple of weeks since that happened but still you were hurting.

Not that they need to know, do they?

You looked at him right in his eyes as both of you spoke to each other about his confession due tomorrow. He planned to confess to Shinobu days ago but he decided to postpone every single one.

You were quite glad that he still didn't do it but a part of you wanted him to be happy. He's been through a lot.

So naturally, you, the friend and the hopelessly in love slayer was there to support him.

"Jeez Tomioka-san! Just tell her how you feel! I'm sure it wouldn't be that bad!" you beamed, making sure to add happiness in every single word.

He doesn't need to know that you were slowly dying in the inside.

"But what if-" you cut him off, making sure he does it tomorrow.

"I'm sure Kochou-san likes you back. Come on now both of you are not kids anymore." you said, sympathy in your eyes.

He considered your words and that's what he plans to do today.

You are now in some random tree, watching Giyuu confess to Shinobu. You didn't care that you can't hear their conversation. All you wanted was to see them both happy.

You wiped your tears for the nth time that day.

You saw them hug each other before walking somewhere together. You made sure they were out of sight before you sat on that branch, thankful that no one can see you so vulnerable right now.

And that's when it hit you. You fell hard for that guy. And it's all because of his lifeless blue eyes.
