In an effort to keep Bobby in the dark, Jack left Jackie while she was still asleep. She awoke to find a note from Jack, she smiled and quickly dressed.
"Where are we going Mommy?" Caroline asked as she held tightly to Jackie's hand.
"We're just going to see a friend at the beach."
Caroline accepted that and skipped alongside Jackie as they made their way down to the beach. When they got there, Caroline grinned, seeing Jack sitting watching the waves. "Jack!"
"Caroline!" He chuckled as the little girl launched herself at him.
Jackie smiled and sat down next to Jack, watching how happy he made her little girl. When Caroline took off to jump in and out of the water, Jack turned to Jackie.
"Good morning."
"Morning."
"You're absolutely stunning today, my dear."
She blushed. "Thank you."
He nodded, reaching over and pushing a stroke of her hair out of her face. "Jackie?"
"Yes?"
"I-I love you."
