She never ran so hard and fast in her life, it seems that once she hears word of her missing best friend he is near death. She wanted to curse him to the heavens but there was no way she could do such a thing. As she makes it to the hospital she jumps onto the balcony and bust in, startling the pinkette who sat by his side. (Y/n) sat in the spare chair on the other side of sasuke and held onto his hand. He felt cold, lifeless almost. It bothered her that he seemed to only come back with bad news written on his body. "Idiot, why didn't you take me with you?" her voice was barely above a whisper as she looked upon him with a gaze or worry. Sakura couldn't stand the intimate display but she wouldn't dare say anything. No matter how much she wanted to.

(Y/n) catered to the boy by fluffing his pillow, changing his position to make sure he didn't get bed sores also pouring water down his throat to give him moisture. She sat back beside him and waited for him to wake, she would wait just to make sure he didn't wake alone. Sakura saw this as a competition and stayed as well, copying the catering for the next couple of days. One day the pinkette sprang up as she heard the door open, a beautiful blonde woman walked in and looked at sasuke. "Uh, hello. Who are you?" sakura questioned as sugimoto ignored the two and simply watched over the raven. "Sakura! (Y/N)! You wont believe it! She is going to make everything ok again." the childish sentence caught (y/n)'s attention. She looked up at naruto then looked at the beautiful lady. "Sasuke will be alright! She is going to make him all better." naruto smiled brightly, it coaxed the worried (y/n) as she looked to tsunade.

"Can you really help him?" She needed to hear it, to see it happen. Tsunade said nothing as she walked towards the boy and looked down at him, she could tell the care that the two girls showed him but she also saw the difference. The feelings behind the two girls care were polar to one another's, one was platonic, almost parental. The other was infatuation, love in raw supply. "I'll see what I can do ladies, alright?" tsunade smiled widely before turning back to the bedridden boy. Tsunade placed her hand above sasuke's head as a green hue oozed from her palm. Sugimoto waited with bated breath as she held sasuke's hand. Sasuke groaned as he stirred, the sugimoto heart raced in relief that was before she choked. The look in his eyes held nothing but emptiness, lifeless almost. Sakura threw her arms around him, his lack of reaction brought Sugimoto weakness. She couldn't celebrate, she needed to know what made him this way. Sugimoto continued to watch the display between sasuke and sakura. She sat on the bed to his right and stroke his hair, she wouldn't take the moment from the pinkette with how hard she was crying. Sakura sobbed as naruto watched with a bitter smile. (Y/n) approached the blonde, she placed a hand upon his head and stroked. "You did great, thank you for bringing help." Naruto's heart warmed, it was foreign to hear such things being said to him. He let out a giggle and rubbed his nose with his pointer finger.

She left quietly and came back with a glass or water. "Here, you'll get dehydrated with how much you are sobbing." sakura looked at her with confusion but let go of Sasuke and took the glass. "Thank you." she croaked as (y/n) nodded.

A couple days later (y/n) was permitted to take him home. She didn't hesitate to get him out of the sterile smelling building. He still remains unresponsive to any stimulus she tried. Yet she would never think of giving up on him. She held his hand and other belongings that were held at the hospital. As the two made it to the front door, she unlocked the door and guided him inside. She locked the door before helping him take off his shoes and taking her own off. Since it was mid afternoon, she sat him in front of her bedroom window and opened the pane to give him some sun and fresh air. She leaned against a wall that was adjacent to the window and read through the scroll on dark release. She skimmed over it, she was having troubles with her chakra and hoped that the scroll could help. She looked up at Sasuke to see his attention on her. She was startled to have his attention, she rolled up the scroll and crawled over to him. She picked up her photo and handed it to the boy.
