Hidan was incapacitated while kakazu was killed, thanks to naruto. Honestly, the two Akatsuki were wrapped up pretty easily. She wondered why Ayumi was so nervous. It bothered the woman as she traveled back to the village. Sai noticed her in deep thought and wanted to ask her what was wrong but chose against it when he couldn't formulate how to say it properly. "Ill head off first guys, I'll see you soon for dinner right?" she asked as naruto tiredly smiled. "Yep! See ya." naruto waved as sakura waved to the woman as well. Before Sai could say anything, she turned and left the group. Upsetting the pale man a little as he continued to follow the group.

She wonder towards her estate as she waited to feel the group go pass the gate. When they did, she ran to the genjutsu, dispelled it, and slowed to a walk. The home still held a welcoming essence as she walked through the door and beelined for her old bedroom. She walked down the cool and damp stairs and finally made it to the library. "Ayumi, I know you're here." she stated as she walked to the shelf that she remembered held the scroll of the Akatsuki members. She pulled it out and walked over to one of the desk and pulled out a brush and ink. During this, ayumi rounded a corner and stood in the peripheral of the womans sights. "You should start explaining, that was strange. Even for you." she glanced at him before she pulled out her journal and wrote the information along with what she remembered on the scroll about kakazu and hidan. "What...needs explaining?" he asked as she scoffed and continued writing, allowing him to answer his own question.

"You're..not ready...for fights like...that. Don't put...yourself..in unnecessary danger." he mumbled as he looked over her shoulder. "For a moment, it sounds like you're worried about me." she absently mentions as she slowly strokes the page with the end of the brush to ensure her hand writing came out neat. It did not, but you could still read it. "In any case..are they dead?" he asked as she nodded. "Hidan is as close to dead as he gets but the other was brought back to be inspected." she dipped the brush in the ink before she finished the last of the scroll and applied weights to keep it open until the ink dried.

"Progress?" ayumi asked as the woman nodded. "Mom died in the mist village, that I'm sure of. The only thing I can do is to find out why." she stood and glanced around. She didn't know where to start but she did know where the other villages' scrolls were and decided to look there. But even after hours of searching through them, she found nothing. "God why is this so hard, do I have to travel to the village first?" she complained as she glared up at the ceiling. She stood and stretched, feeling her body pop in the area's that grew stiff. She then pushed in the chair she was previously using before she finally chose to head home.

Honestly, she felt restless. She was so close to something but she couldn't figure out what. The edge of night approached, although she was meant to eat with naruto at the hospital, she decided against it. Yet right now she didn't want to be alone. Yet she needed to give shikamaru some space to collect himself over asuma. So was she truly to be by herself tonight? She racked her brain on what she would do before she looked at the small clinic. She hit her fist upon her hand. "I could visit naruto." she mumbles. She knew he might be sleep and visitation was over but that didn't stop her. Actually it did, she looked at the sleeping male as she sat in his unlocked and open window. "You could have died, you have no sense of security." she sighed and looked at the half moon. She didn't know if it was waxing or waning but it was pretty. She felt the hairs on her neck stand as she looked below to see sai.

He smiled and waved at the women as she waved back and jumped down. "Why are you still awake?" she asked as sai fidgeted as she tilted her head. "I usually spend time at the library at night so that I know it during the day when im with you guys." he smiled as she snorted. "That's cute, but just ask us if you need help." she noticed he had a canvas in his hand. "Working on something?" she asked as sai blushed and looked down at the canvas surface. "Im not done so I dont want to show it yet." he mumbled sheepishly as she nodded. "Well when you do finish it, id love to see it." she smiled as sai nodded. "You'll be the first to see." he promised.
