All of the Matthews' family plus Maya were at the apartment, waiting for Shawn to come.

"Riles where's Deja? She said that she would've been here a long time ago." Maya said making Alan, Amy, and Josh confused.

"Whose Deja?" Josh asked

"She's our best friend, one of the best people you could meet." Riley told him

"Well now I can't wait to meet her." Amy said as the door opened

"I have arrived." Shawn said walking in and Cory tackled him in a hug. Riley pushed him over and hugged Shawn

"Hi Uncle Shawn." She said and he hugged back

"Hey Riley how's it going? Where's Maya?" He asked and Maya came over and they fisted bumped

"Hey trouble maker." He said to her

"Hey old man." She said back making Shawn stick his tongue out at her before moving to Cory parents and gave them hugs. He spoke to Josh and Auggie before greeting Topanga.

"Hey Mrs. Cory." He said

"Hey Mr. Cory." She said back and they hugged.

"How has it been Shawn?" Alan asked and Shawn looked nervously which everyone noticed.

"What's wrong Shawn?" Cory asked

"I don't know how you guys are going to react to what I'm about to say." He said

"Come on it can't be that bad." Josh said and everyone nodded, agreeing

"Okay.. well I'm moving to New York.." he started and everyone looked happy

"That's amazing Shawn, what's so bad about that?" Topanga asked

"I'm not done... I want to adopt someone."he said making everyone look at him shocked.

"What?!" Everyone yelled

"A kid.. you?" Topanga asked making Cory elbow her

"I know how crazy it sounds.." he said

"Um no I think we're way past crazy here, you're insane." Maya said

"Gee thanks." He said

"Are you sure about this Shawn? A child is a lot of responsibility.." Amy told him

"I know.. but it's just this kid has been through so much that I can relate to.. I don't ever want anyone to go through that. I want to help her.." he said sincerely and everyone smiled, they knew he was serious about this.

"It's a girl you want to adopt?" Cory asked and he nodded. Him, Cory, and Topanga were talking when the door opened. Shawn's back was facing the door.

"Hey hey hey!" Deja said walking in with a big bag.

"Dee!" Maya and Riley yelled out before hugging her.

"Hey guys. Sorry I'm late, I wanted to get a present for everyone here." She said

"You're really just an Angel." Maya said making her laugh. Alan and Amy walked over

"Hello I'm Deja, nice to meet you." She said holding out her hand for them to shake but they pulled her into a hug.

"We hug around here, how such a sweet girl like you end up with these two?" Amy asked making Deja laugh.

"Hey!" Riley and Maya said offended

"Dee!" Auggie said running towards her and Deja caught him

"Augs! I missed you so much. You know I got you a present." She told him
