WELL wasn't this a bad case of deja vu.

It's like everywhere you went, Jean was lurking around the corner. Of course it wasn't intentional but that is the way it felt. You attempted to keep these two apart but with Jean's stubbornness, he had to make his presence known to Eren whenever you were around.

"What does he mean "hello again", Y/N?"

You were about to answer him but Jean did it for you, "Oh I just meant yesterday when I saw her with her mom at a pizza place nearby."

"You mean the one two blocks away?"

"Yep."

Eren narrowed his eyes at you since he had finally understood the real reason why you wanted to avoid the pizza place. You sighed, "Yeah it was nice seeing you, Jean. Bye now."

"Actually I was wondering if I could talk to you. Alone."

You and Eren both moved your head slowly up at Jean then side eyed each other. You clicked your tongue and scoffed, "Jean, what could you possibly have to say that you couldn't say in front of Eren?"

"Nothing really, I just like not involving him in stuff," he smirked obnoxiously.

Eren put his hands on the table and scooted his chair back as he stood up. He and Jean looked each other in the eyes, Eren tilting his head to the side, "It's not my fault she chose me but go on. Have your little chat, I'll be waiting outside to take her home." He gave you a look then smirked at Jean before walking by him to the exit.

You sighed as Jean sat in front of you, "So-,"

"Jean, this has to stop. This bickering between you and Eren, especially when you're only meant to be a friend and he's my boyfriend."

"Wait. You two are official?"

Your eyes widened since you realized you hadn't told anyone else about your relationship status besides your mom, "Oh. Yeah, we are."

His nostrils flared and he looked down at his lap, "And you're happy with him?"

"I guess so, yes. But Jean-,"

"I get it. You don't have to say anymore." His order number was called at the front and you both looked in the direction then at each other. He looked away from you then stood up, "I'll see you around, Y/N." He walked off to get his food and you took that as your chance to grab your leftovers from the table and meet Eren outside.

He was leaning against the wall of the store with his one hand inside his hoodie, the other playing with the flame ignited from his lighter. He saw you walking toward him and put it away, "Ready to go?"

You nodded. He grabbed both skateboards and held them on his side as you walked back to the skatepark where his car was parked. You side eyed him while he stared straight ahead in silence, "You aren't going to ask me what he wanted to say?"

"Nope, doesn't matter since nothing he says is important anyways."

You snickered, "That's a little mean."

He looked down at you with an almost serious expression, "Not to me." You stared back with furrowed brows since you were confused with his attitude, "Did I say or do something you didn't like?"

He shook his head and looked ahead again, "Just wait until we get home." You finally reached the skatepark and got into the car. You assumed home was referring to his apartment but you were surprised to see you were actually driving back to your place. The sound coming from the radio was the only thing to fill the silence. He wouldn't tell you what it was that was bothering him and you didn't push him to say it.
