Epilogue

I watched how the wind blow some dry leaves over her white gravestone. Her name was engraved by the shade of gold.

Alas put the basket of fresh carnations beside her gravestone and removed some grass there. I glanced at him and he's still staring at her grave.

"Are you okay?" I asked through a soothing voice.

He nodded. "I always think that she's too young to die. As far as I can remember, she still had plans for her mother."

"I'm happy that Dad offered some help for her mother. We can still continue to help her, Alas. Don't worry."

It's been months since Trish died inside the jail. She suffered heart attack while sleeping and the police just found her lifeless.

Love made her evil and I feel sad knowing that she didn't had the power to defeat it.

"Thank you, baby. Trish is surely happy out there knowing that her mother will be fine here."

Alas was obviously devastated about the sudden death of her.

It's not for me to feel jealous anymore. Not now that we're already married and even have kids.

"She's lucky that he met a man like you. You still care for her family despite of everything she did to you," I said that made him glance at me. Nilingon ko rin siya at nginitan. "You just made me realize how lucky I am to be your wife. And I'm so proud of you."

He smiled at me, pulled me near him and gave my cheek a soft kiss. The wind blew calmly as we both stared at the white bluish sky.

Ilang sandali pa kaming nanatili doon bago nagdesisyon nang umuwi sa bahay nila Mommy. My family are all there. It's Kuya Reon's birthday. We'll be at the cemetery again this afternoon to celebrate the special occasion.

"It's fine. I know how they miss the twins. I even thought of making schedules for our parents.

He chuckled.

I smiled. She's really an introvert and I already proved that.
